Like: convenient, connected to the train station directly with lots of interesting cafes/ restaurants nearby. Dislike: very dated and old from furnishing to the curtain etc, poor soundproofing, strong smell of thinner from their level 3, felt like vomiting and giddy after smelling that for 1 min after we exited the lift in search of the gym/pool. Tried calling the reception / operator multiple times at 10-11am but no one pick up. Not sure if this can be called a 4 star hotel.

Fantastic stay at an amazing location

The hotel is near all of the places I wanted to be and was an amazing place to stay. The staff are courteous and helpful. You are treated very nicely. The amenities are top notch, the views are great. Overall I was very comfortable and well looked after.

Comfortable Hotel in a Great Location

We stayed for 2 nights at the end of a three week holiday in Malaysia and Vietnam and chose this hotel due to its location, swimming pool and price. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was small but that’s standard for Singapore, and the space was used effectively. A couple of coat hooks would have made better use of one of the walls. The bed was comfortable and the shower powerful with plenty of hot water. The location was superb. The MRT Outram Park station is accessible from the hotel lobby. This makes getting around really easy. The rooftop swimming pool is very pleasant although the sunbeds are a little worse for wear. It’s great for a quick swim to cool down in the afternoon. It would be nice to be able to get a drink by the pool but unfortunately this is not allowed. I think this is a great hotel for a couple of nights but if I was staying longer I think I’d choose somewhere else just because I’d like to spend time relaxing by a pool with a cocktail and something to eat. Apart from that, I can’t really fault the hotel. It was perfect for our needs.

Dorsett Hotel

Hotel needs some updates in the rooms and with regards to the pool area. Bar was always closed and breakfast wasn’t great. Location is great for mtr which is great to travel around Singapore.
