We booked this room before leaving the airport
When we arrived they said they had no booking even though we had the confirmation from wotif.
The hotel would not check us in … after 2 hours they said they would check us in if we sign a piece of paper saying that if the confirmation didn’t go through we would pay x amount … $55 more then wotif.
It was 11:30 at night by now and we had been flying 9 hours before so we agreed Management said for our inconvenience they would give us free breakfast .. thank you we said…The luggage trolly had our luggage on it in the foyer but the luggage guy would not take it to the room for us … he said we could take the Tilly with us but needed to bring it back down once we were done … we did not take it back down …. we went to our room and contacted Wotif … Wotif did all they could and finally rang the hotel and sorted it all out … it was 1am by this stage …. The hostel then rings our room and said yes we got your confirmation so now the complimentary breakfast was cancelled …..We couldn’t believe it !
The room was very tacky bed was hard tv didn’t work no complimentary water and you had to step up and over a large bath to get into the shower that had a nozzle you had to hold as it would not stay in the holder and there was mild in the shower.
in the morning we found an envelope under the door saying that a complimentary breakfast was now available to us again ….
We could not get out of this hotel quick enough ….
