Great SC hotel option

We booked a bunk bed suite to fit our entire family. 1 year ago we stayed in the same room at this hotel. I don't know what changed in the last year but this visit was much better in terms of the general upkeep and attentiveness of staff. We also didn't see party rooms with women dressed like sex workers going in and out. I'm glad we gave this hotel another try. Breakfast selection was great as usual with fresh hot food, cold food, cereals etc. We love the indoor/outdoor pool and the courtyard/koi pond. Our room was very clean and we appreciated the staff!

Debacle reservation with a guarantee

I received a guarantee reservation stony Creek and when we arrived at the facility, they had sold our reservation to someone else. So they made it right and sent us to the Marriott Riverview in South Sioux City, Nebraska, however it was a little disheartening to be treated that way. Our family members were staying there and said they were not that impressed.

This was by far the worst hotel room we stayed at during our vacation across the country. The front desk had no attendant upon arrival other questions and I waited over 20 minutes while the phone rang constantly. Arrival to our room there was no towels, dirty floors, wallpaper ripped by the king bed, chairs in the room looked dirty and falling apart, shower curtain had black tar looking streaks. Floors next to the tub nasty in one corner there was a white finger print. The hotel hallway was dirty needing vacuumed. Breakfast was great and the court yard is beautiful, I will not be returning to this hotel. We traveled with 2 little dogs but I don't feel we should have gotten a dirty ran down room just because we had dogs.
