No online notice of pool closure, sad kids

We have had a great experience at the Sioux City Staybridge, so I selected this location in Sioux Falls. I think this location is needing some upkeep though. The laminate wood floor is peeling up in the rooms, creating a dangerous trip hazard for my elderly dad. When I booked a room, I also didn't know that the pool was closed for long term maintenance (all month long). I would not have booked this room if I knew that.

Made a reservation and upon arrival we found out the pool was closed due to renovations. If I would have known that we would have booked elsewhere. At least they could have given some discount. My 2 kids with me were not happy! Other than that our stay was ok. Breakfast was amazing with many options. The noise outside the room was a bit loud as we were next to the staircase.

It was a nice stay for a night. The room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel next door had some people being a little loud outside but I guess that is to be expected on a Friday night. The only down fall was the pool being closed for repair. I wish I would have known that before booking a non refundable room.

Rebecca greeted me at the front desk with a warm welcome. I was checked in quickly. I told her my first time staying here, and chose it due to the reviews on line. The room was excellent! Clean, very comfortable bed linins and great kitchen area. Elevator was quick and efficient. I did not have breakfast (meeting my son for early lunch ) Location was easy to find and the outside grounds looked very nice. Location is close to restaurants, shopping, gas stations and interstate. Check out was just as easy.
