Penthouse In Snowmass Base Village steps to skiing- 50 ft. to slopes, 2 hot tubs

Located in the Luxury Snowmass Base Village Condos in Capitol Peak Lodge. This 2 bedroom, 2 bath Corner Penthouse Base Village Unit offers the best of ski-in, ski-out location in Snowmass. Just steps from the Base Village Mall with restaurants, shopping, and right between the Elk Camp Gondola and Snowmass 6 person Chairlift. Otherwise, there are more restaurants and shopping located at the Old Snowmass mall, just a short free gondola ride away (on Cabriolet Gondola). Perfect for families because the kids ski school (Tree House) is located in the Snowmass Base Village too.

The other big advantage is the location and parking garage with elevators. It cannot be any more convenient at the Snowmass Base Village. Being able to drive in to the private gated off section and parking right by your elevator that takes you right up to your unit, is a nice feature. Then in the morning, to be able to take the elevator down to the village level and put on your boots and grab your skis from your adjacent ski locker and just walk 50 feet to the Elk Camp Gondola is the best.

Note: Captiol 2A is the best building to be in at Capitol Peak, it right between the Elk Camp Gondola and the 6 person chairlift. The other buildings at Capitol Peak are farther away from the slopes, restaurants, ski school, and lifts. THE UNIT HAS A KING BED IN THE MASTER, TWO FULL SIZE BEDS IN THE SECOND BEDROOM, AND ALSO HAS A QUEEN SLEEPER SOFA, ALLOWING 6 PEOPLE MAXIMUM. WINTER RATES ALSO INCLUDE DAILY HOUSEKEEPING and Summer rates every other day (up to an hour max. for one housekeeper). (monthly rental includes 2 hours/week).

The unit comes furnished turnkey down to the silverware (built new in 2008). Freshly painted and bedding. Appliances (except stove) and Samsung 60" Smart 4K TV in living room. KIng Luxury Mattress, box spring exchanged because of feedback by guests in master bedroom. Queen sleeper sofa in living room and double beds, box springs, mattresses, and linen in second bedroom.

*** Don't be fooled by the other Snowmass condos that were built in the 1970's. They may be remodeled but still have thin walls, thin floors, old plumbing, heating, and a lot of stairs. No matter how much you remodel it, they don't compare to these 2008 built luxury units. And the location to the kids ski school, lifts, shopping, and restaurants cannot be beat.

I can’t say enough great things about this location, the host, the area, and the amenities! We had such a comfortable stay. It was a clean and comfy place. The access to the Snowmass restaurants, ski lift, “Skittles,” and shops were unbeatable. The views were breathtaking. It was nice to have a fireplace and cozy seating. The host was very accommodating and responsive. We would love to stay again!

Great Location

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect location for our family of five. The ski lockers and short stroll to either the Elk Camp Gondola or Village Express lift couldn't have been more convenient. If you plan on staying at SBV, you will have all you need - access to multiple restaurants (including takeout), a small corner grocer with limited options, multiple ski retail locations, and extracurriculars for children just a stone's throw away from the Condo. You also have easy access to the Snowmass Mall via a short gondola ride. If you have never been to SBV, the parking garage can prove tricky, but the manager of the rental provides great step-by-step instructions on how to get into the condo. If you choose to not have a rental car, I would recommend having your taxi/limo drop your party off at the Capital Peark Convention Entrance, which is located adjacent to the TreeHouse drop-off. It is just easier to manage your luggage from there. The master bedroom bed and living room couch are lacking comfort, but the guest room and pull-out bed suited grandma and our children just fine. While there is no front desk or bell services, the room does receive cleaning and down service each day. I give this condo a 4.75 / 5 stars if you plan on coming down with a family with kids. You just can't beat the location. If you're wanting a romantic getaway with a SO that has all the bells and whistles, then the Limelight or Viceroy are better suited for that. I do plan on coming back to this Condo with my family if it's available next season.

Convenient location with mountain view

This condo is in a great location for enjoying all Snowmass has to offer. It is in the heart of Snowmass base village, just a 5 minute walk to the grocery; very near to the bus transit point that takes you to the connecting bus to Aspen and is convenient to the gondolas that go to Elk Camp or Snowmass Mall so all restaurants/shops/activities are within easy walk/gondola ride distance. We hardly used our car for the two weeks while we were here. The condo kitchen is pretty well stocked for cooking. Since we stayed for two weeks my family cooked quite a bit and we had everything we needed to prepare meals for 2 to up to 5 adults. It was great to have the washer/dryer and every other day housekeeping service that included refreshing linens and handling the trash and recycles to keep everything tidy. The porch overlooks the two main streets into the heart of Snowmass but you’re high up so mostly the view is of mountain and it is on the quiet side of the condo building away from the gondolas so feels like a bit of a nature get away. The condo has a separate private parking area separated from the public parking and we appreciated the detailed check in parking instructions provided by the owner. Beds were comfortable and showers had good water pressure. A plus was the gas log fireplace. I’d definitely stay here again.

Family Vacation

First time staying in a VRBO ski resort compared to the many other VRBO Condo and homes we are used to. Check-in instructions were a little confusing since the unit is located in a ski resort, where there were multiple elevators to take from the garage if you are lost. We were in town for a music festival so there was bus transit from the resort to the venue and to other nearby towns which made ease of traveling around. I would stay here again....now that we got the hang of getting around the resorts ins and outs. Unit was as expected and clean. I was not expecting/accustomed to house cleaning coming into the unit daily to clean and wash linens/towels/dishes. That was a surprise!

Aspen/Snowmass Summer Getaway

Excellent 2 bedroom condo in Snowmass. Great communication as well with management. Condo was clean, quiet, well stocked and they provided daily maid service as well! The check in process is tedious and difficult because of the lack of clarity as to where to park and where Capitol Peak A is physically located. The parking garage is tight and confusing. Also the check out process is difficult. The only other problem is overnight parking for a second car, you can only leave one car , with a parking pass, in the parking garage overnight. A second car must be parked up the mountain near Snowmass mall, it is a real pain to deal with. However, the condo is great and comfortable. I will say it was advertised as having a lounge area with pool table, but there are no pool tables. The fitness center and the hot tubs are great. Roget, the management company contact, was helpful and responsive. We will definitely consider renting here again, especially if we can figure out the second car issue.

Even better than described

The unit was fabulous with everything we needed to make our meals at home due to COVID. the bathrooms were large, the beds comfortable, and the location fabulous. the parking right outside the elevator is a huge bonus as well! Will return.

July 4th get away!

We had a great time at the base of SnowMass. The property is really nice and we loved the location. Having daily cleaning service was a plus. The property is well maintained and the view from the balcony is incredible. Roget was great to work with! It was great to wander out in the morning for coffee and crepes! We sampled most the restaurants at the base and thought they were all great. We would definitely come and visit again!

Very nice Condo with all the conveniences of home!

We stayed in Snowmass from 1/7/2018 to 1/12/2018. This was a very comfortable 2 bedroom 2 bath condo that slept 6 with the pullout couch bed. It had every kitchen item you need to cook in every night. The bathrooms were very well stocked with towels so we never had to bother the cleaning crew with clean towels. The washer and dryer also a plus. We had a nice size balcony even though too cold to enjoy. It is right in the heart of base camp on Snowmass, great location. The check-in was super easy as Roget mailed us the condo key prior to our stay so when we arrived we went straight to our condo and my son was able to get in a half day of snowboarding on Sunday. I texted Roget several times during our stay with questions and he was very quick to respond. Great vacation hope to be back next year.

We spent our summer (August) vacation here and the condo was great. Very clean, well kept, modern and the kitchen had everything you needed. Maid service came every day to clean up and make the beds (a big plus). Once you walk out the doors onto the village level you literally step from the gondola. Reget was very friendly and he met us when we arrived to help us with our luggage.
