Welcome to Ides of Marsh! Newly Built Custom Cape Cod Vacation Rental home that is in the beautiful Cockle Cove Beach area, sleeping 6. A walk for most (.5 mile) to Cockle Cove Beach on the Nantucket Sound! Open concept, unobstructed marsh views in the back from every room, central AC, two spacious bedrooms and an additional space with two twins upstairs, an outdoor shower, finished lower level with its own living space, full bathroom, and games including a foosball table - the whole family will enjoy their time at this home!

"When we came around the bend and saw the charming cottage on that beautiful marsh setting, we knew we'd found a special spot
and so it was for over thirty years. But the house aged, as did we, so two years ago we began the process of building our dream house with all the charm of Cape Cod and all the conveniences of a new home."

Let Us Tell You About This Home:
Enter this newly built home and you find yourself in the open-concept main level, bathed in beachy hues of blue. You are instantly greeted by the expansive marsh views seen from every room in this home. The living area is open to both the dining room and kitchen which neighbor each other. The dining table seats six and is adjacent to the oversized kitchen island with additional seating for 2. A fully equipped kitchen provides all you will need including modern stainless steel appliances. Choose to dine indoors or al fresco on the patio area. Through the sliding doors off of the dining room is an outside living space with a gas grill.

Located past the open floorplan of the main living space is a half bath and a large primary bedroom overlooking the marsh. The primary bedroom has a sliding door out to the deck. This bedroom has a flat-screen TV mounted to the wall and the large walk-in closet includes seating and there is a full private bathroom.

Upstairs is an open flex space that overlooks the marsh. This space holds an office/work space nook and a seating area ideal for reading books or just enjoying the impressive views. There is a full bathroom accessible via this open space or through the Queen bedroom.

The Queen bedroom offers plenty of space to unwind including seating in the corner of the room that lends itself perfectly to relaxing in quiet. There is plenty of storage in the large closet and the full bathroom on this level can be reached through a private door, creating an ensuite feel.

On the other end of the second level flex space is a bonus area providing two twin beds - perfect for children or tweens as it is removed enough from the Queen bedroom to elicit privacy despite not being a bedroom with total privacy.

The lower level of this home offers something for everyone! The floorplan is completely open but has well-defined areas within it. There is a gathering space with two large sofas facing a flat-screen TV mounted above a decorative mantle - perfect for a family movie night! Behind that area is the gaming portion of the room which includes shelving with puzzles and games, a table for those activities, and a full-size foosball table. Adding to the convenience of the lower level living space is a full bathroom with shower so you only need to leave for snacks!

There is a lovely wood deck for outdoor grilling and dining as well as a new outdoor shower with hot water!

With views from every room in this home and handy proximity to the beach, family and friends will all enjoy their time in The Ides of Marsh!

Peaceful & lovely

The house sits at the end of a salt marsh where there is opportunity to see a variety of wildlife (deer, coyote, birds galore & rabbits gave all traveled through and around the back yard during our week here. There is plenty of room to stretch out, a good selection of games in the finished basement, well equipped kitchen, comfortable layout and no shortage of spots to read or collect your thoughts. The beach in walking distance is charming & quiet. We enjoyed staying at the Ides of Marsh and will be booking again.

Peaceful spot on the Cape

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely Cape home. The well-stocked kitchen and outdoor grill made meals at “home” easy. The deck offered the perfect spot to relax with a morning coffee, evening cocktail, and outdoor meal. Best of all, the view is so peaceful! We’ll be back!
