Front desk girl was very nice and helpful. However, the room had an extremely strong chemical smell ( probably a cleaning product) . The room we were in had mold in the shower seams, floor edges and handles of the shower. We had about 15 minutes to eat breakfast and when we entered, there was just about no food left. No one was there to see what we may need and the room was so full, there was no place to sit and eat. The room was a small room with no windows. Just a bad location to enjoy a breakfast.

Some sites still say/show Howard Johnson’s - it’s not. Friendly staff, very clean room, great beds with lots of pillows. A bit of a fruit fly problem. Area feels safe, Indoor pool looks clean and quiet (didn’t use). Pet friendly. Easy check in/out. Breakfast could use work. Standard but minimum offerings without much care or quality. Very short hours. Seating is very tight and chairs have skids making them hard to move. Would stay again - a quick, pleasant off-highway drive into Portland.

Horrible experience there were bugs in our room and manager refused to give us a new one stating they were “full” however rooms were still able to be booked on website. Definitely not worth the risk.

Floors in room dirty, had to wash our feet after showering and getting ready. Carpet in hallways had not been swept the day we arrived or the next morning. Closet shelf was coming out of wall, towels hung onto racks in bathroom unevenly..like a child has put them up, lock on door broken, blinds in room were blackout from the outside but did nothing to keep light out from inside for sleeping. Breakfast room was too small with too many tables crammed in there and the addition of a foot wide makeshift bar around the perimeter me are it impossible to even get thru to the food. Hot food was cold. No waffle mix for machine. No napkins. No attendant in there to keep tables cleaned off.

The beds and bathrooms were clean, but the floors and windows were not clean. The breakfast was very basic with very few options. The pool did not look appealing and the windows looking into the pool were filthy. I did not see any cleaning staff the two days we were there. It's a very ordinary hotel that was close enough to the beach. I doubt we will be staying again.
