A functional stay because we were getting a flight but the staff were exceptionally lovely, particularly Adele who made us feel really welcome, was professional and really sweet. Overall, we weren't expecting much but really enjoyed our stay, beds comfy, room impeccable

Too expensive and not very warm and welcoming.

Long wait at reception to be told that as i booked through Hotels.com my booking did not confirm a room so i had a choice between a twin or accessible double, this has never happened before when booking a Holiday Inn. Room was expensive to then be charged an additional £10 for 1 nights parking. The desk in my room was higher for wheelchair access but the desk chair was too low which made working difficult and uncomfortable. The shower curtain was discoloured at the bottom and the wetroom looked worn and a bit mouldy.

The room was was mostly clean and tidy apart from some chewed gum found under the desk area. The staff we very helpful and nice. The Hotel was quiet and I liked the toiletries provided in the bathroom.

I stayed at the hotel with my two teenage daughters in a family room. It was really spacious, clean and quiet, even though we had the airport runway right outside our window. It was very reasonable and the staff and service was excellent. When we go back to Southend, we will definitely stay there again.

Very poor lighting in the bathroom as nothing over the basin, impossible for shaving. Very plain dreary decor in bedroom combined with thin long window giving low natural light levels.

Hotel, modern and clean. Our room had a dirty towel which was unfortunate as the rest of the room was clean. Aircon was good and room was quiet. I think its digusting that you have to pay to park, especially when you already are paying to stay in the hotel and the car park for the retail park next door is free for 4 hours.
