A bus hop away or 5 minute drive will take you to Lone Star, arguably the most hip restaurant on Barbados. Adjacent is Santi, a truly idyllic beach and bar with food which is perfect for turtle and celebrity watching! There are many other food service establishments nearby to suit every pocket from casual street food to elegant high end cuisine. A comprehensive list of these will be available on your arrival at the property.
Offering 3 air conditioned bedrooms that sleeps 6 in comfort, Shimmers has a tranquil master bedroom with glazed doors and balcony overlooking the mature flora and garden. It has a super king 4 poster bed with muslin drapes and a huge ensuite bathroom featuring his and hers basins, a deep set bath with views onto the tropical panoply and a large walk in shower. Quality coordinating towels complete the refreshing experience!
The 2nd bedroom has a Queen size 4 poster bed and the 3rd benefits from twin beds with colourful exotic fabrics. All 3 bedrooms have fine quality linens, ample storage and wardrobes. The family bathroom has a walk in shower and is immaculately finished in marble with luxury towels.
Downstairs an entrance lobby leads to a comfortable and large open plan living area with flat screen tv, matching sofas, easy chairs and a dining table and chairs. Feature archways lead to a spacious and fully fitted breakfast kitchen with electric hob, oven and grill, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher and lots of top quality cookware, cutlery and glasses.
The living area has French style doors opening to the rear terrace with a refreshing private plunge pool - ideal for cooling off and sipping cocktails ( we even provide equipment and non breakable glasses with this purpose in mind ! ) There is an outside dining area and soft chairs overlooking a superbly maintained private garden.
There are full time staff at Battaleys Mews in the event of you having any queries and Shimmers comes with a weekly maid service which includes cleaning and change of towels and bedlinen. A twice weekly service is available as an option.
Although Barbados is considered a safe island to visit, guests, particularly those with children will appreciate that 24 hr manned security offers a peace of mind when you are a long way from home.

Shimmers is a pristine home which is lovingly maintained by ourselves - we have been coming to the island for many years and have lived here for some time with our children attending school in Bridgetown.
