Lakefront Carlson Cabin East Lake Okoboji

Lakefront home on East Lake with a large flat yard and private dock. Bring your kids fishing at the end of the dock and enjoy an amazing family vacation at this inviting home. Linens and shower towels are provided (beach towels not provided) High speed WIFI is available throughout the house. Each bedroom has a smart TV with Netflix included. The kitchen features quartz counter-tops with a full size fridge, oven and dishwasher. The kitchen is stocked with everything you will need including a blender, toaster, crock pot, regular coffee pot, dishes, pots, pans and utensils. The dinner table can seat up to 6 and the large kitchen island seats 4+ people. The deck also has a table that seats 4 people and an outdoor couch for lounging. We provide a gas fire pit on the deck, a gas grill on lower patio and full size washer and dryer for your use. We are close to Hyvee, Walmart and Fareway for your shopping convenience. Boat lift not included but end of dock tie up is available if you bring or rent a boat during your stay (boatgoat bumpers on dock provided) Driveway can fit 3+ vehicles and there is on-street parking for free located nearby. Water toys not included. No bachelor or bachelorette parties allowed at this property.

Great place to stay, house was clean and kitchen is wonderfully stocked with items. Lake was weedy but no fault of the owners just that time of year and out from the house the striped bass were bitting like crazy.

Great indoor and outdoor spaces! Nicely updated home with all everything we needed. The screened porch was perfect since it was such a rainy weekend. Communication with owner was all was fast and friendly. Thank you for a great stay!!

Peaceful location

We arrived to find that the bedrooms/bathrooms were not as advertised. Only 1 bedroom is upstairs with the full bath. One of the “bedrooms” in the basement is not a legal bedroom, as it has no egress window and is part of the utility room, with no walls separating it, & door that doesn’t open from the outside. Part of that bedroom is unfinished and did not make our children feel safe. Other bedrooms were nice, but need light blocking curtains. Kitchen was nice, except didn’t have the Keurig coffee maker or ice maker as shown in online photos. Had to make extra trip to store for different coffee and purchase ice (no ice maker in refrigerator). Screened in porch was nice. Exterior of home needs to be cleaned to help with the spider/insect issues and inside needs to be sprayed for bugs. There is no access to any water accessories, again, online photos need to be updated so they are accurate. Overall, the location was fine, but was not quite as expected based on online information.

Amazing home with the best views of the lake!

This home had absolutely everything you could ever need! We loved sitting out on the dock with the gorgeous views of the lake. Fishing was very successful, too. Beds were very comfortable as well as all home furnishings. I am so glad we chose this property for our Okoboji stay and I hope to stay here again in the future.

GREAT HOME & EXPERIENCE

We loved our stay at this property. First time using VRBO and it was a great experience. Laura was quick to answer all our questions and check in was a breeze. Our 8 grandchildren and adults had plenty of sleeping space. Loved the open floor concept and screened it deck, great for the toddlers in our group. Our one grand daugter (age 6) said I wished we could stay here for 11 years..lol. Our only regret was we wished we would of had more time.

Family vacation

The home was very nice and allowed our family to have a great time together. Although we didn’t have a lift we did have a spot on dock to tie up our boat. Laura was great to work with setting up this stay. One suggestion I would have is to add a drinking water system. Thanks Darlene O

We enjoyed staying here so very much! Easy access to the lake and the property was beautiful with plenty of hangout space. The bidet was a refreshing treat and everyone in our party ordered one afterwards. The neighbors were kind as well! We would absolutely come back.
