The elevator was out. My boyfriend is alot older and not in the best of health. The guy at the front desk put us on the secondfloor. He made no apologies about the elevator and was very rude. The breakfast was okay. Just not alot of variety or selection. The housekeepers were friendly. The outside doors did not work. So i walked all the way around to the front the next morning to let her know and she acted like we put her out. We will not be staying with them again.

Evacuated - fire on roof- lack of communication

Not my favorite hotel stay. There was a fire on the roof and we were evacuated to front parking lot. There was no communication from the staff/manager until I reached out to find out what was going on and to see if we could retrieve our belongings out of our room. As a guest at this hotel I would have expected to hear from the staff or a manager to check in on us during the situation. I know the fire was unexpected, but communication with guests should have been priority.

The experience was terrible. Our double room was given to another customer because they said Hotels.com overbooked them. Then they said they upgraded us to one of their best suites… the “suite” was awful. It was literally an old conference room with a bed in the middle of a huge room with another bed that folded down out of the wall that was stained completely up. The room smelled old and very musty, there was a huge 8 foot table with 10 old chairs stacked on top. The bathroom was disgusting and the carpet looked like it was not vacuumed in some time. They guy at the front desk was nice but seriously acted unconcerned about how bad it all was.

This specific hotel does not allow anybody that lives in a 50 mile radius to rent a room. This is common in the Springfield area and we called ahead and they said as long as we have a valid ID, it would be okay. They refused to let us check in. Thankfully hotels.com process the return.

I am not one to leave a negative review, but this was not a pleasant experience and so many of my bookings are based on other people’s reviews so I felt like I needed to share for the sake of others. The room was hot and stuffy, tv did not work, and there was a loud barking dog in the room next door. When we pulled the bedding back to go to bed, there were hairs on the sheets. We went back down to get a refund or another room. They put us in another room (no discount offered). This room was also stuffy and the AC unit was loud. Not a comfortable, relaxing experience!

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Our toilet broke in our room and no one came to fix it for 2 days. We had to use the lobby toilet. We asked for extra pillows and were told no. The room was dirty and the sheets and pillow cases were stained. We'll never stay again.

The room was very damp to start with. It was a handicap room and there was no light in the bathroom over or near the bathtub. Then the outer door of the room would not close. The manager was helpful & said that we could go to the room next door, which was also handicap, but that door was also showing signs of not closing. So he then had us go to another room - not handicap - , which we did, since it was after 8 p.m.
