Nice place, unexpected stay
The place worked out fine for us since we spent 15 hours per day at the Old Course, and just used the flat to sleep). For others I suppose there would have been problems. We registered for one unit but were given a different one. The host asked if this was okay before we arrived but it was unexpected. Not a huge deal.
The flat came as advertised for the most part but I was very surprised to see dishes and pots and pans left out on the counters, and food that wasn’t put away. Also, the bathroom had all of the host’s toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, razor, deodorant, etc.) crowding the bathroom sink area. That was definitely unexpected.
I consider myself a very low maintenance traveller so none of this really bothered me too much, but I can see how this would be a huge problem for others.
Outside of the that, the communication was good, the flat was a short walk to the city center and the Old Course, the beds were very comfortable, and all of this worked well for the purpose of our trip (2022 Open Championship).
