Stargazer's Cabin

Stargazer's Cabin is a lovely little one bedroom cabin with a kitchenette including a dining table and there is a lounge as well. Shower and toilet .

The sun warms the lounge through the sliding glass doors. There's a oil heater for the winter.

The bed is a double bed and a third person can sleep on the sofa in the lounge (it does not make into a bed but is a normal sofa). There is a $25/night fee for the 3rd person.

Lovely cabin, warm and quiet.

We stayed 3 nights and loved the cabin and the quiet. We could hear the birdsong in the nearby forest and we were only a few minutes out from St Arnaud.

Cosy mountain cabin

It was a beautiful property, very close to Lake Rotoiti. The cabin was peaceful, clean and stocked with all the essentials. Had a lovely short stay, thanks David and Tammy.

Peaceful Stay

We cannot fault this peaceful location nor the delightful cabin we stayed in. David the owner was super friendly and helpful in directing us to various places to visit. There was no Wi-Fi but cell coverage was adequate, and we had everything we needed as far as facilities go. Clean, warm, comfy bed, loads of hot water, very private... we'd go again!

Wonderful retreat in the alpine north of the South Island of NZ

The Stargazer Cabin was a VERY comfortable place to spend a week!--cozy bedroom, well appointed kitchen, immaculate bathroom. The hosts were wonderful and offered to be (and were) helpful in all sorts of ways. They couldn't have been more welcoming. The only thing that visitors should keep in mind is that there is no WiFi and no laundry facilities, This might or might not matter depending on how long one plans to visit.

Magnificent

Lovely friendly host. Simple beautiful cabin with a strong shower and comfy bed. Kitchen full stocked for use. David was charming, unobtrusive but welcoming and generous. St Arnaud is very small but the environs are beyond amazing. Glorious Lake Rotoiti and one of the best tramps I’ve ever taken in NZ. All of the wonderful. Thx David!

We had a great stay at Stargazers Cabin. It was very warm on some cold nights and morning very neat and tidy. Bathroom was neat and tidy, good pressure in the shower. Kitchen has everything you need, lounge was comfy and so was the bed. David and Tammy were good communicators, check in and out was super easy. Would 100% recommend and will definitely book again next time we’re up around Nelson Lakes.

Wonderful place with everything you need

We stayed here for two nights and it had absolutely everything you could need. Only around 4km from Lake Roitoriti. Warm place and the hosts were lovely. Thanks for having us.

St Arnaud delight

The name of this property lived up to it's name. The night sky was so clear and the stars so bright and sparkling. The hostess and host were very kind and friendly and helpful, generous in their effort to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. Everything was clean and fresh. With the environment of the Nelson Lakes being one where you want to enjoy the beautiful lake and walking tracks, this accommodation was really great to live in and be close to the many attractions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Tammy and David. The cabin is comfortable, all the walls are wooden-lined for a very cosy feel. Fully equipped kitchen and dining seperate from living area. Double bed with electric blanket (you probably won't need it). Even mozzie repellent is provided.
