Very nice place to stay - especially with a dog! Motel style but well lit, nice, safe parking lots. Beautiful rustic office and breakfast area. Clean. Only reason 4 stars for condition is our king size bed mattress was very springy and lumpy (but that didn’t stop us from sleeping). Shepley shuttle picks up for the Mackinac ferry. Good hot breakfast, coffee all day. Staff is very pleasant and helpful even when tired travelers ask the same question twice. 🙂

Older property but comfortable place to stay. Patio door slid hard but wasn’t a problem. Could use some more outlets for charging phones etc. Really enjoyed the open space and view from our patio. Lovely place to sit and relax after a day at Mackinac Island. Complimentary transportation to & from the ferry was a nice bonus feature.

I am giving this hotel a 1 star due to the fact that we were charged an additional 42.20 on top of our Travelocity price. After reserving, they charged a $30 cleaning fee. The room was left in the same condition as it was found except for unmade beds and dirty towels. Travelocity price is not accurate. We would have stayed elsewhere.

There were bugs crawling on the walls and ceiling in the first room we checked into! After I killed several I called the front desk to get another room. They said they would send someone to inspect it! 20 minutes later when no one showed up I went to the lobby and demanded another room. The second room also had a few bugs but we were exhausted, traveling alone with two kids, so we just ended up staying there! At any point there were only 2 people working in the entire property, so service also sucked!

Outdated

It’s more outdated than the pictures really show. The paint is peeling in the bathroom and the screen door was broke had a hole in it told front desk and got we will add it to the chat. The breakfast could have been way better so unorganized. Definitely could hear in the next room. Overall for a night last minute it was ok. Just not sure I would make this a top stay coming back into st Ignace.

The location was convenient and room was clean. They do have a shuttle to Mackinaw Island but had to all the front desk to call twice. That is where the good ends. No hot water in the shower and barely in the sink. When explained to the front desk the answer was "Yeah that happens when we are busy" Breakfast was a joke with rubbery eggs and not much to choose from. Would not recommend or stay here again.

Outdated property. Shortest toulet i have ever seen. Shampoo was not refilled before our arrival, so we used our own. AC unit blew right on our heads while sleeping. Breakfast was not stocked well - out of mulk, coffee and waffle mix.
