Jacks Corner is a beautiful, well maintained property with everything you could need.
The only slight problem is that it is in the middle of the 2 main roads into St Ives and opposite a busy hotel. It gets quite noisy with traffic passing and deliveries to the hotel from early each morning.
The hotel bins are also located under the flat and the bin men arrived at 6am every other day to empty bottle and general waste bins.
Great location (up hill) and 20 minute walk from the centre.
If you like a walk and donât mind a bit of noise (or take earplugs) itâs a great place to stay.
This is a beautiful property, very well appointed, modern and perfect for a week away. However, the noise disturbance we encountered was way over the top. I contacted Cornish Escapes and they advised me of the one liner at the bottom of the advert. â Please note, due to the central location of this holiday home, there may be some noise disturbance from local traffic and businessesâ. I canât recall seeing this at the time of booking. However, if this statement was indeed there when I booked, this doesnât even begin to describe the amount of noise we encountered at all hours of the day and night. We never had a lye in as we were woken up by with metal trollies being wheeled across the road from the hotel full of various items and bottles, then being emptied into large bottle bins, sound of glass crashing. Deliveries made very early in the morning to the hotel, loud banging, cages being wheeled across the road. We kept the windows shut and could still clearly hear it all. The hotel has a lock up directly underneath the property that they accessed all hours day and night. Such a shame as the property is stunning and we loved it. The property is also on a very busy road with buses, lorries etc passing by from early morning.
