Welcome back to Bambooshay, St. John! We are so happy to have Bambooshay built again after a long three years since it was lost to Hurricane Irma. Bigger, better and much stronger than before, Bambooshay Villa has all the amenities of a luxury hotel but without the crowds!

This house is more than a vacation rental - it is our home. You will note the exquisite attention to detail we put into every aspect of the new villa when you arrive. We will retire here fully one day but for now we are happy to share it with you!

Bambooshay is a spacious two bedroom, two bath villa that can sleep five people comfortably. There is a California King in the master bedroom and a Queen in the second bedroom. Both bedrooms have private ensuite bathrooms. There is also a double sized pull-out couch in the living room that can accommodate a fifth person. *There is an additional fee of $50 per night for the 5th person.

Bambooshay is fully equipped with a commercial grade automatic generator and air conditioning in both bedrooms. It has a gourmet kitchen with quartz countertops, solid wood cabinets, slate floors, stainless appliances (refrigerator/freezer, oven, stove, microwave, dishwasher) and a full-sized washer and dryer.

The villa is completely stocked with linens, bath towels, beach towels, beach chairs, coolers, a blender, toaster, Keurig, regular coffee maker, small food processor, cooking utensils, pots and pans, paper towels and toilet paper. Everything you need to make yourself at home during your stay!

When walking out onto the deck, overlooking Coral Bay, you and your guests will enjoy dipping in the cool saltwater pool, soaking in a SoftTub hot tub, cooking on the grill or just relaxing with a beverage of your choice while taking in the views.

“Bambooshay” is a Creole word that means “enjoy yourself; have a good time.” Coined during Carnival season in the 1950’s, the word originates from “Bambula,” an old African dance that is carried out today through a unique “second line” dance that is performed to the beat of traditional New Orleans jazz. Revelers during carnival today are often heard yelling out “Bambooshay!” as they partake in the festivities of the season.

In a single word, Bambooshay embodies the spirit and attitude that we have found from the Caribbean to New Orleans, and we truly hope you will enjoy yourself and have a great time on St. John. Bambooshay!

Bambooshay Villa is located on Seagrape Hill in Coral Bay. Turn onto Seagrape Hill Road directly across from the fire station (if you get to Skinny Legs you went too far). Paved all the way, the villa is located four switchbacks up Seagrape. Turn left before the "First Left" sign at the turquoise gate. Pull into the cul-de-sac and the first villa on the right, with the white gate, is Bambooshay!

We are ideally located between the best of the north shore beaches and those less traveled on the east end of the island. Your toes can be in the water within a 10 minute drive in either direction!
