Desert Rose Villa, with Fabulous Coral Harbor views

Easy drive up Seagrape Hill to Desert Rose which offers an excellent parking platform for 2 cars. Low rise steps lead gently down to an open Caribbean style Greatroom. Desert Rose has been newly repainted with a fresh classic look and warm feel. Enjoy the cooling, gentle tropical breezes all day and night. Beautiful views of Coral Bay, Moravian Church and Bordeaux Mountain. Enjoy cooking in our gourmet kitchen with granite countertops and new stainless steel appliances and a comfortable island to eat at. The Great Room with its vaulted ceiling and ceiling fans is perfect to read, listen to music, watch T.V. or do nothing at all. The lower Bedroom with new king bed furnishings opens onto the spacious covered deck and a Spiral Staircase leads to the upper Bedroom with new king bed and furnishings that has a Balcony that looks over the Moravian Church and out to Coral Bay. Both Bedrooms have large lit closets with sliding doors that are mirrored. The Bathrooms both have ceramic title murals in the showers and glass block partitions.
Take a dip in your private pool to cool down after a day at the Beach. Enjoy the large sundeck and a convenient outdoor bathroom. Sunshine all day and a covered veranda gets you out of the sun and cool off with the ceiling fans. Watch the Moon come over the Pool and the brilliant Stars dancing in the sky while sipping a Caribbean Cocktail. In the morning sit on the deck with your Breakfast and Coffee and watch the Hummingbirds and Yellow Birds greet the new day.
Desert Rose Villa is beautiful and spacious for easy living in Paradise. Many new furnishings and attention to detail that is new! A great place to relax, swim and soak in the warm sunshine and watch the world go by. Only a 15 minute Drive to the most Beautiful Beaches in the World!
Desert Rose Villa has a large solar array and multiple Tesla power walls for back up power in case of an outage.

Desert Rose far exceeded our expectations. It was wonderful. We stayed with another couple and had plenty of room. The view of Coral Bay is beautiful. We spent our evenings on the large deck and loved the pool. Power was out on the entire island for 48 hours of our visit but we always had full power via solar. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to others.

Desert Rose Villa is a beautiful home and had everything we needed for our stay in Coral Bay. The view from the deck was spectacular, the pool is such a nice feature, and the kitchen and bathrooms were decked out with all the amenities. Tammy was the perfect host and very responsive, ensuring we got in with no issues.

Tammy was very responsive to any inquiry I had. We even kept sneaking down to surfside and jolly dog in hopes to meet her in person. No luck! We were delayed by a day on arrival but once we did arrive
. The home is clean and the views of coral bay are breathtaking! We stayed on the porch a lot to enjoy it. We have visited St John for years with our family but this is the first in Coral Bay. It is beautiful and very peaceful. The house has everything you need and the things you don’t think about. We will be back. Thank you Tammy for opening your home and being a great host!

This villa was perfect for our family. The host is welcoming and responsive, and the house has everything we needed for our week-long stay. The furniture is high quality and comfortable. The location in Coral Bay can’t be beat—amazing views overlooking the harbor, and just a few minutes drive from restaurants and shops. My favorite part of the day was early morning, sitting out on the deck with my coffee, watching Coral Bay wake up! I highly recommend this house, it truly feels like a home away from home.

Beautiful house in a perfect locatin

This house is perfectly clean, well stocked with everything you could need, in our favorite location, just up the hill from Coral Bays, with view that you just can’t get enough of. Convenient to beaches, Coral Bay restaurants, and the quieter side of the island. 2 identical king suites are perfect for 2 couples or parents with kids.

Great escape from the cold!

Desert Rose was a great escape from the cold! The house and amenities were great. Perfect for 2 couples. The kitchen was fully stocked, ample supplies (towels/toilet paper/paper towels/soap/dishwasher pods etc), which is often lacking in other rentals. The beach supplies (chairs, coolers) were in great condition.We have stayed in Coral Bay before and love the quiet side of the island. We were familiar with the area so the drive in was not surprising but if it’s your first time the roads are steep/switch backs. Easy parking for 2 vehicles. We would absolutely stay here again and look forward to coming back.

Awesome Hidden Gem

The house was nicer than expected based on the listing. Well furnished, AC worked great, the house was spotless and comfortable. Great views, check in and out was a breeze. Wasn’t an issue for us but there’s quite a few stairs getting from parking area to the house. The only recommendation we have is the availability of more things for the beach to use. There was chairs, coolers and towels but many of the other rentals have snorkel gear, floats etc.

Our family spent a wonderful week at Desert Rose. Everything is as described. The view of Coral Bay is magnificent. The property is very well maintained. The pool was clean and refreshing. Tammy was quick to reply to our questions about the Island. The back up power kept every running during the frequent power outages, even the A/C. Overall it was a great experience and we all would highly recommend it.

This villa is a good choice for four people but the bedrooms are on top of one another and you can hear the others talking. The other thing I did not like was the spiral staircase. Things we liked were the following: The pool and outdoor space The very responsive host The light decor The large kitchen The views of Coral Bay It is a beautiful home.

Wonderful Spot

The property has everything you need for a wonderful stay in quiet Coral Bay. Tammy and her staff were wonderful to work with and very attentive. Coral Bay is beautiful and a nice quiet place on the island but nearby many different beaches. Can't wait to go back.

Desert Rose is a true gem!

We were 2 couples with 20+ years of visiting STJ. We prefer Coral Bay where we have friends and the slower pace. Desert Rose was perfect for us; great location, well-provisioned kitchen, comfortable beds, and great inside and outdoor space to enjoy. We enjoyed morning coffee on the covered porch overlooking Coral Bay and planning our day. The pool was great after returning from daytime adventures on the beach or on the water. Tammy was so wonderful in providing some new beach chairs for us when needed. The villa overall had everything we needed to make our stay wonderful. Highly recommended...I just hope it'll be available for our next visit! Thank you, we'll be back!

Desert Rose in Coral Bay is a gem.

We have stayed many times in St John and Desert Rose did not disappoint. The house was perfect for our needs and well-equipped with everything we would want or expected. The location on Sea Grape Hill is ideal for activities in Coral Bay and for getting to the North Shore Beaches. The kitchen was more than fully stocked, and the air conditioning worked great when needed. The house had plenty of beach chairs, towels, and coolers to use. Loved watching Coral Bay in the mornings and drinking coffee. Seeing donkeys, goats, iguanas, and birds is always an enjoyment for us. The beds were comfortable and the house came with more than enough supplies (toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, laundry pods, etc.). Overall a fantastic vacation at Desert Rose and St John. Minor things but nothing that takes away from the house or the vacation experience... The pool was good for a refreshing dip but it was a bit small for more than that. There were 2 lounge chairs by the pool but ideally, there should be a few more to accommodate 3-4 guests.

Perfect and quiet house for a relaxing Saint John vacation

My family and I rented this house for a week in Coral Bay and we loved staying at this house. I wish we were still there! It’s in a quiet location, overlooking the bay and it’s private. We loved the private outdoor pool which we used a lot in the evenings. We cooked a lot since food was so expensive on the island and the house had anything you could possibly need. I loved waking up early and sitting on the covered porch underneath the fans and watching the “wildlife” from afar (goats, donkeys and iguanas). On Sunday mornings, you can hear the church service out on the patio, which was lovely to hear the singing. On Saturday nights you can hear the band at skinny legs on the outdoor patio but not inside the house. That was also a really awesome perk. It’s a peaceful spot and I would absolutely book this house again.
