There are a few restaurants on the premises to choose from if you don't want to go out. The room was comfortable (LOVED the shower), fairly quiet, and the staff at the front desk were friendly and attentive.

Hotel has gone downhill.As soon as we walked in the building the cigarette smoke smell is all over you.You better bring your own shampoo and conditioner because dispensers in the bathrooms are usually empty or broken.Bartenders and service in restaurants are usually good ,but I can’t take the smell of cigarettes very long.For example I was playing in the non smoking area and in walks a couple with ash trays and cigarettes sat right next to us to play their favorite slot machine.It’s really amazing what afresh coat of paint can do .I’m sure the the Penn Company can afford a little maintenance.

I stayed in a Luxury King room over the weekend. The room was very clean. The pillows and sheets were soft. I slept like a baby. The washroom was spacious with a large walk-in shower. The washroom even had a television built into the large mirror over the sink. Parking is free in the garage or on a surface lot. There are two restaurants inside the casino that stayed open until 2am on the weekends. I would definitely stay at River City again.
