Avis A 2 BR, 2 BA Downstairs Unit right across the street from John's Pass Village!

Well, as the saying goes, there is one in every crowd. Since a review like this not only hurts my rental business, it also hurts my feeling a bit. My first wish would be that this guest would have reached out to me to let me know they felt the cottage was not as clean as they had expected. I live one block away and would have been there in minutes to make it right. Some items that need to be addressed in the review: 1. Filthy floors - toally disagree, however, if given the opportunity I would have had the floors re-cleaned immediately. 2. Dusty blinds - again, disagree, I personally dusted them less than a week prior and the cleaners dust them as part of their routine. Also, would have had them addressed had I known this guest didn't approve. 3. Mold in the shower - not true. There is a slight discoloration to the grout in the shower, due to the light color of the grout. I plan to have the grout removed at the next break in reservations, but it is NOT mold. 4. Fist sized hole in wall - No, there is not. The wall is covered with rought cut cypress boards and a knot fell out of the wood a long time ago. There is drywall behind the wood, so no hole exists. Knots are typical in this species of wood. 5. Kitchen supplies very used - again, not accurate. I personally stayed in the cottage for 4 days just a few weeks ago, while my home was having work done. Silverware and knives were replaced and every item was checked as we cooked several meals ourselves. 6. There is a $60 damage waiver - yes, this is correct and is a policy that came out of recommendations from several guests. This makes it so we don't have to put a "hold" on credit cards or charge & then refund a security deposit. Accidents happen and we want our guests to relax and not worry about something getting broken - it's covered by the damage waiver. For anyone who has read this far - thank you - and, I want to let you know that if you visit my cottage and find ANYTHING that needs to be addressed, please let me know and I will make it right. Please don't spend your vacation unhappy and then write an unnecessarily terrible review.
