2 Bedroom/2 Bath condo on the Beach! This is a double unit 1,300sq. ft.

Yes, you read the title correctly. This is a two bedroom, two bathroom remodeled condominium walk out unit. Meaning it sits directly on the beach with access directly to the beach. How? Because this is actually two condos that have been remodeled and joined together to make one, and is the only one like it at the resort.

Instead of each side having its own living room and kitchen, this allows for one large living room and one large kitchen. So it gives much more space than simply getting two adjacent studios. Additionally, the wall on the porch has been removed, making the outdoor space twice as big too. This is also a corner unit, which has the benefit of additional windows and doors on one side, along with a larger porch on the corner side that partially wraps around the side.

Each bedroom has its own bathroom and a large closet space. They can be completely separated from the living room and kitchen, unlike the studios that simple have sliders for separation. One of the bedrooms also has a washer and dryer which we do leave available for guests usage.

The large kitchen is on the corner side of the building, allowing extra windows and natural light. The bedroom on that side has the same, as does the bathroom. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you would need, including an extra large refrigerator that can easily handle the needs for the guests.

The living room also provides more seating than the typical studio as it doesn't have a kitchen taking up part of the space. So it does not feel cramped whatsoever, it is much more like a home.

Both the kitchen and living room have large sliders that open to your own private patio, part of which is covered and part which is not. There is a large dining table outside, as well as comfortable couches for lounging. The patio steps directly onto the beach!! And just a few more steps then you are in the water. This is an extremely private location as well. It is so difficult to describe how wonderful it is to sit right on the beach while listening to the waves against the sand. It never gets old and is why people live and/or visit the islands.

Sapphire Beach Resort is only half a mile from the village of Red Hook, which has numerous restaurants, bars, shops, and the ferry to St John or the British Virgin Islands. The beach itself is great. They have a large "double level" pool, which is just off this particular building. There is a watersports desk on the beach where you can rent snorkel gear or various water toys like stand up paddleboards. Lounge chairs are included with the rental as well.

The restaurant/bar at Sapphire is open and there is a new addition of a coffee shop which also serves breakfast!. There is also a Pizza Parlor and a Fine Dining Restaurant. Located at the adjacent complex just up the hill but within short walking distance is Sudi's Caribbean Bar & Grill. But the best close options are just a 5 minute drive away in the Red Hook area, where you can choose from many dining choices. And remember, the kitchen here is extra large and accommodating, so you may find yourself wanting to use that more than you expected. There is a convenient grocery store in Red Hook called Moe's Grocery.

A rental car is not necessary, though it sure would be desirable to have one. They have what is called SAFARI BUS here, which are open air taxis. These drive right by the entry to Sapphire and only cost a dollar. But with a car, you get freedom to go where you want, when you want. And with a two bedroom condo, you likely have four people which makes it very affordable.

*NOTE: Yes, we now have a Generator at Sapphire Beach Resort and Marina! Because power outages are common with island living, we like to inform our guests that we do have a generator to enhance your visit to the islands.

Oceanfront steps from the porch

Accurate listing and wonderful property on Sapphire beach. There were a few issues which were addressed immediately by the owner. Could use a little TLC but having a two bedroom walkout right next to the pool and beach was the best part of this place. Tons of storage and lots of amenities provided by the owner. The porch is amazing - woke up early and sat outside every morning enjoying the magnificent view. Would stay again without question.

We have stayed at this property several years and have loved it through the years. It has become outdated. We had many problems this time the manager addressed each one, however, for this type of money, it was very aggravating not only did the property have the pool shut down the first five days of our day and we were not notified until we got there. The property manager was not notified until two days before we arrived, but it still would’ve been nice to know so that we could’ve planned accordingly since we had large group. The AC screen was out so we had to deal with that one night with no AC and then the next day it was promptly fixed in one of the rooms. The hot water didn’t work until we got maintenance from the property to look at it and then it worked the remainder of the time The next-door neighbor constantly watches everything you do on the back patio, not saying much but stands and stairs and often walks past and makes comments overall the property is very nice. We love Sapphire. We were just very disappointed in the stay this year for a number of reasons listed above overall the condo needs to be updated. It is outdated. We did receive a 200 credit but for a 7000 stay it was just a little frustrating on our behalf. The property manager was very nice and accommodating and I’m sure things could’ve been much worse but just our personal opinion.

Heaven on Earth

We loved the location of this condo. You can not enter the water directly in front of it due to rocks and coral but you get the breeze off the water and a fantastic view. Also being further down the beach you do not have the foot traffic passing by. We loved everything about the condo and the location and would definitely stay there again.

Everything you need in the condo and perfect location right on the beach. Close to pool, beach, amenities, and restaurants. Relaxing and plenty to do even if that includes just sitting on the lanai with a great view and feeling the ocean breeze.

Our stay was amazing. This is our second time staying at Sapphire. We loved it. This space was the perfect size for 2 couples. The views are amazing. My only complaint is the king size bed could use a mattress topper or something. It is extremely firm.
