Getting to our room was very inconvenient since you could not get to an elevator till you climbed 2 flights of stairs & mold & poor condition of Tub (matt in tub to try and cover damage). No soap to wash hands provided. Staff was not pleasant & helpfull Breakfast was not adequately supplied. Questionable people hanging out in parking lot.

The ongoing renovation is more cosmetic than substantive. Think new carpet and paint. They are using the lowest bidder and it shows. Poor job maaking for paint. Electrical outlet hanging out of the wall. Bathroom door won't close because they painted the door and the door frame and they rub together. Tub faucet waa not attached correctly. Toilet was mounted at about a 15° angle from the wall. I suspect they broke the flange and were roo lazy to replace it. Sink was a residential pedestal that you might find in a half bath setup. No counter space whatsoever. Floor was not level so the dresser drawers kept sliding out. Ice machine only worked on one floor. One of the two elevators did not work. Despite these things, the room was clean. Staff was friendly. Again, they are clearly using a contractor that doesn’t care much about quality.

Worth the money. - safe neighborhood and safe for my car - Clean room with basic microwave and refrigerator and TV. - No bugs, - Comfortable bed. - Everything works in the bathroom. - No dirt or bugs. Breakfast was so-so I originally signed up for one night and ended up spending three nights - it was comfortable and a good value

Do yourself a big favor and stay away from this place! If you go, please know that you need to climb 2 sets of stairs in order to reach the elevator. Not pleasant if you have a good amount of luggage. They do have what they like to call an ADA compliant lift up to the elevator level. It is nothing more than a luggage lift to the level where the elevator starts and didnt look safe. The breakast on the front desk floor level was ok. Not well stocked and missing some plastic eating utensils. There were no plastic knives with which to spread butter or jam on toast. When i asked the attendant if they had any more plastic knives, she said they haven't had plastic knives for the breakfast area in weeks. The room had a bad odor to it and was kinda run down. The bathroom was a complete joke. While I was there, contractors were installing huge exterior wall panels in an effort to spruce up this tired property. Kinda like putting lipstick on a pig!

Left a lot to be desired

I don't usually do reviews and I'm not overly picky, but this place is rough. First we were given a room with someone already in it, which according to other reviews, has been common lately. The next room smelled really bad, the carpet felt wet in spots, and the bathroom light flickered. We only stayed one night, so we made it work, but we will not stay here again. The front desk is supposed to be staffed 24/7 but when we got back around midnight there were people trying to check in and there was no one manning the desk, so if you're expecting a late check-in, I would call first. The best thing about this hotel is that it's attached to the Stamford Diner. We enjoyed our breakfast there and will definitely go back to the diner next time we're in Stamford, but will be staying at a different hotel, sadly.
