Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

There is no mention of the haul & hike you have to make to/from the parking lot with your luggage & groceries. The lake photos are not anywhere near the condo. A nice porch or patio area would be nice to enjoy the cool breeze, not much to see over the wood railing. Upon entering, the entire home; it was hot and unbearable. Perhaps summertime they need AC in the rooms. We were almost going to stay somewhere else until we figured out how to use the swamp cooler. We had to buy our own ice to make it work and once it did, it smelled of mildew. It looked like someone had lived there because there were used old shoes, sweatshirts and hats in the cubbies. None of that listed “as is” in the description. A new couch & throw pillows are needed. It just needs a new modern touch besides the W/D & refrigerator. Overall, if visitors are there to just shower and be out all day, it’s doable.

Good family stay

Stayed here for about a week during our summer Lake Tahoe vacation. Location is quiet and a quick drive into town for daytime activities. The reviews about the stairs are on point. Taking bags to and from the house was a bit of a workout (the higher elevation of Tahoe doesn’t help). The house itself was in good condition and enough rooms for everyone to have their own space. One room the cable on the TV wasn’t working-quick response from Vacasa to check it out and the Roku stick was gone. Told my kid he didn’t need TV and to enjoy the surroundings. All the essentials a family could need were there and it was a great place to relax after activities. The sofa is a bit worn down so beware when sitting
it will be hard to get back up. Other than that, I’d recommend.

Great location

Overall good location and comfortable. Had issues with never being able to connect to Internet. Multiple attempts to get remedied, but never got fixed. Washer did not work. Contacting a live person with Vacasa was frustrating.

An adequate condo with a lot of inconveniences

Overall, the condo was adequate and met basic needs but I wouldn’t book again, particularly in the winter. We happened to arrive in Tahoe in the middle of a snow storm which made finding the condo quite difficult, the written instructions were not clear and we had to knock on neighbors doors to find the condo, in the dark. Not fun. The snow drifts were roughly 5ft tall and we had to crawl on our hands and knees to get out of the house. As others have noted, there are a lot of stairs and the entire stairwell fills up with chest-deep snow. When we reached out to the property manager they informed us it was our responsibility to clear the snow. Luckily we are young and fit but this would absolutely be a problem for older couples or groups with young children. Though the house wasn’t dirty, it wasn’t particularly clean either, towels were still in the laundry when we arrived. The fireplace didn’t work, and the couch definitely needs to be replaced. The location might be convenient for summer activities but we found it to be a bit out of the way for skiing. All in all it was fine but won’t be back.

Too many stairs

While the location was nice and convenient, the condo was not really what we were expecting. The description said "accessible by stairs" but what it did not state was that there are 64 stairs between the condo and the parking lot. This was not convenient for a family of 5 traveling for a ski trip. We had lots of bags (12) and it was during a snow storm so the walkway with 64 steps was tiring and often covered in snow and/or ice. The house was decent enough, but if you are looking for clean comfort then I would look for another property. It was just okay and did not seem very clean. The fire place did not work even after someone came out to fix it, it stopped working again shortly after he left. The tv system was very confusing -even the guy that came out to fix the fireplace took about 15-20 minutes to figure out how to get it working for us. The house was cold at night and the sheets seemed dirty. The kitchen was not very well organized or clean and the counters and the table were dirty when we arrived. If you are just looking for an inexpensive convenient place to sleep and stay then this place is for you. The stairs were too much for us and the house did not really meet our standards. I just wish that the description gave a little more detail.
