Trappeur’s Lodge at Trappeur's Crossing Resort sits just one and a half blocks from the base of Steamboat Ski Resort; there's a paved walkway that takes you directly from the building to the gondola, and to dining, shopping, and nightlife along the new base area promenade.

This complex has many wonderful amenities, including outdoor and indoor heated pools, multiple hot tubs, tennis courts, a sauna, a fitness facility, an outdoor fire ring, an outdoor kitchen with grills, and a heated underground parking garage - so you don’t have to worry about cleaning the snow off your car! There's also a private shuttle (in winter) that can take you back and forth from the base of the ski resort, to the grocery store, or into downtown Steamboat Springs for shopping and dining later in the evening. You can definitely get away without having a rental car in this location!

This three-bedroom, three-bathroom condo has a living room with a gas fireplace, a flatscreen TV, a DVD player, and a leather couch and chairs. The fully equipped kitchen provides everything you need to prepare a great meal for family and friends, and the dining area features both a kitchen table and additional bar seating. At night, the primary bedroom has a queen bed, a flatscreen TV, and an attached full bathroom with a glass-enclosed shower. The second bedroom has a queen bed and a flatscreen TV, and the third bedroom features full-size bunks, a flatscreen TV, and an attached full bathroom. The living room also has a sleeper sofa for additional accommodations.

There's a separate ski storage locker in the entry area and shared laundry facilities in the building. This condo is a great option for families who want all the conveniences and amenities of a resort property in a great location just a short walk from the ski resort.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Not worth cost

Property is in poor repair, tack strips from carpet are exposed. No cookie sheet in the kitchen or pancake turner (spatula). Faucet won't work properly in the kitchen.We were walked in on by property management a day before check out, the cleaner seemed to think we were checking out that day. Key stopped working in 24 hrs for one key.

Great property! We loved the slope side happy hour. what a fun treat! Internet connection was poor. we had to use hot spots because we also didn't have cell service. fans worked great to cool condo down at night. wish the kitchen had some basic cooking things in it. We had to pay $10 for a teeny bottle of olive oil at the expensive grocery down the street because we made the assumption the house would have cooking oil. All minor and really loved our stay here! It was perfect.

Perfect location

It was an easy check in and so close to the mountain that we walked to and from the slopes! Definitely recommend as it comes with extra amenities, including a shuttle to/from dinner at various locations, hot tubs, etc.

Travelers Lodge 1206

The property was a little smaller than expected, but comfortable and well stocked with necessities. The decor should be updated. We saw other units that were nicely updated. Maybe get rid of the brown carpet and the paint red wall a neutral color at the least. We were dissatisfied that the ceiling fan in the master bedroom was broken. That should have been disclosed. Lastly, we saw several other guests walking around the pool/hot tub area with nice white robes from their rooms. It would have been great to have those. The owner was easy to communicate with, and the preparation for check-in was timely and easy. We enjoyed the shuttle service; It was very convenient and comfortable. I’ll definitely be back to the Steamboat area.

Great location and perfect space for a small family getaway

The property was great! Clean, and the staff was helpful. The location was also a good spot, trails were within walking distance as well as some restaurants. My only complaint was that the smoke detector went off 2 nights in a row. But the maintenance team was quick to come to the condo to check it out.

Great 3 bedroom/3 bath with hot tubs, pool and a reasonable price

The property was well stocked, clean and well maintained. The pool and hot tubs were about 50 feet from the condo, quite convenient and clean with pool towels available. Brad was readily available to fix minor irritations to include a light bulb that was out and a jiggly toilet. The Key card reader primarily into the garage but also into the unit was finicky and we had to trade out 3 of our keys because they did not work. This was an irritation and the reason For the 4 stars for checkin and overall ratings. Also, the shuttle bus was often a 15 min wait to get picked up from the base area. Other shuttles would go by 2 or 3 times before ours appeared.

Responsive management and great condo

Trappeur’s Lodge #1206 exceeded our expectations. It was tastefully decorated and had everything one would need for a long ski weekend. While it is listed as a three bedroom two bathroom, it did have three bathrooms. One of the bedrooms has two full/queen size bunk beds. It would be a bit of a walk to the gondola, especially in ski boots, however the lodge has a shuttle that runs very frequently and was very convenient.
