The staff were very kind and helpful. There was no bedding for the pull out couch and the bedding they did bring was the wrong size. The king comforter had what appeared to be a blood stain… The sheets, bed and pillows were all clean though. The pool area was nice, the hot tub was scorching hot though to the point we couldn’t even use it. Overall it was a great experience and we could stay again.

The room had a glove on the floor in plain sight made me wonder how well housekeeping cleaned in the room. There was a hair in the bathroom sink. I didn't have hot water for a shower.

My room was not cleaned thoroughly. I found a half empty water bottle, a beer bottle cap and paper garbage behind one of the nightstands. The refrigerator door wouldn't close because the freezer had a giant block of ice formed in it that was pushing the door open. I reported this to the front desk clerk when I checked out and based on her response, I wasn't convinced that it would be taken care of. I was going to utilize the sauna, however, there was a large group of unsupervised young girls screaming and running in and out of the sauna and pool area. That was quite disappointing. I do have to say however, that I had dinner in the restaurant and the staff was very attentive and friendly. The food was great and reasonably priced. The breakfast that was provided was very good and included many hot prepared options. My overall impression of the property is that it has the potential to be a great hotel and I believe that it was at one time, but it is not being managed well and it certainly is not being maintained sufficiently.

Check in was okay but we felt bad for the front desk employee as she was very sick. Hotel room was clean except for a dirty kleenex left behind the nightstand…also You can tell that dogs are allowed to stay in the rooms as ours smelled like it. We opened the windows and got the smell out. One of our bath towels had blood on it so we didn’t use that one. The value for the stay was still really decent but hotel definitely needs more attention to detail. Breakfast was good and breakfast staff was courteous.

Staff is always great at the Mead. Room was clean and beds very comfortable. Our time at the pool was wonderful for my grandaughter although a little crowded on Saturday. The restaurant was wonderful. Food and service top notch. Probably one of the best restaurants in town. We will be back.

My room was extremely dated, the carpet was sticky, the wooden luggage rack was falling apart and broke when I put my suitcase on it, the wallpaper was falling off in the bedroom, and the hallways were freezing cold. When I went to the area for breakfast, the woman working rudely asked what my room number was and proceeded to tell me it was because so many homeless individuals would come in. Apparently I looked homeless? Her tone was terrible. I ordered food from the hotel restaurant, and the meatballs in the order were very raw on the inside. Next time I’m in this area I will absolutely look for somewhere else for lodging.

Hotel is definitely showing its age. We stayed in west tower, lobby & hallways very cold, felt like heat was not on. Room needs remodeling, carpet tearing by transition to bathroom. When we entered the room, a space heater was running. Realized it was needed as the furnace didn’t work. When tried turning up the heat from the wall unit, it was very loud & blew cold air. Tub cleaner was still in the tub. Hotel has alot of character & could be a gem. Free breakfast was ok, could be hotter. Would be willing to stay there again if they have remodeled rooms.
