The surfaces were clean but the ceiling had dust hanging down from the stucco. The bar was detaching from the counter. There were a bunch of repairs done to the walls and never painted. Cracks in the ceiling and drywall damage in the bathrooms. The add listed parking on the ground floor but when we got there that lot was under construction and forced us up an outside stair case and then 2 more stair cases in the building. Tough to kid in and out with two adults and 3 kids with ski/snowboard equipment. Listing also stated there would be drinking water provided due to high PFAS is the tap water. There was none provided, and the walk to the pool area or office was not easy or short.
Property was dirty...dated...no hot water...plumbing oroblems including bath drain backing uo into the tub/showers...no parking...water leak in refrigerator...dated furniture/linens..altogether wordt renat experience ive had with VRBO
Top shelf of refrigerator had layer of ice (leaked from freezer above). Hallway toilet did not flush consistently. Gas heating stove in living room could not be turned off (it was 75 degrees outside). Bed linens were stained. Bed skirts in twin bedroom was ripped/shredded. No hot mats or kitchen towels. Only 3 garbage bags for 7 people for 6 days. Water not potable - really made Life difficult. Very disappointing
Nice things about this property: it's close to Stowe, beautiful views out the windows, gas fireplace is easy to use and feels "cozy", towels/linens were clean and plentiful.Not-so-nice things: you can't drink the water or use it for cooking (PFAS). They don't tell you this upfront. Once you get there you are told that useable water is "at the pool house" or "at the front office during business hours". But they don't tell you where the pool house is, and they don't give you a useable container to get it from there, so don't bother. After texting back and forth with customer support throughout the evening (and ultimately going to buy water at the store), the next day a 6 gallon jug was left in the apartment. This is nice, but still not useable as no one can pour from a 6 gallon jug into a glass, coffee pot, or similar. The whole apartment is at a slant. This may or may not bother you (it freaked my wife out). Online customer support tries but is limited in what they can actually do to help.
Great experience staying at this Vrbo for our ski trip. Communication exceeded expectations, specifically Naomi, including late night troubleshooting when we werenât able to get the electric fireplace started. No issues with the unit and would stay again.
The apartment is quite rundown. Bedsheets and bed skirting are torn and there are stains on the blankets (seems like the blankets were not washed at all). One of the legs of the single bed was broken and the bed was not usable. The apartment was not cleaned properly and there was rubbish behind the beds and bedside tables.
We feedback to VRBO about the condition of the apartment together with pictures, however VRBO failed to attend to our request and is not willing to compensate for the inconvenience caused to us during the stay.
