We LOVED this hotel. The rooms were clean and just the right size for us. The outside area of the property is beautiful and the perfect place to sit on a nice evening. The front desk staff was very friendly.

Overall, a cute place to stay. Staff was friendly enough. Reasonable off-season rates and right on mountain road by the scenic Stowe Rec Path. Could definitely use some upgrades- including the A/C and fridges- as they were super noisy and interrupted my sleep. It’s an old ski-lodge and the short ceilings and old smell are good reminders of that. I did appreciate the Sauna access although it was small- it got nice and hot. But when it comes down to it- synthetic bedding is an absolute deal breaker for me, and is the ultimate reason why I’d never stay here again.

The coldest loudest emptiest of rooms

Dark hallways lead to a freezing cold room. Walls so thin you could hear conversations in the adjacent rooms. No counters or shelves to put anything down. No counter in the bathroom. Sparce, dated and dingy.

A few issues with the room we received. Very small room with the entry door hitting the bathroom door when entering or exiting. The window in the room had to have the curtains closed as the next units balcony was at eye level so privacy would be an issue if left open for viewing in. No hooks anywhere close to the shower to hang towels and a sink so small you could hardly leave your toothpaste on it. The lodge seemed not at full capacity and we feel we were given the least favorable accommodation available. We used points to book this room and were constantly emailed with upgrade auction offers leading up to are stay. I will end with some highs of the location, the grounds are very nice and the parking was easy. Will we use this lodge again, highly unlikely as for the prices there are other options in the area.

The bad: upon walking into the room I noticed a musty odor, so I opened the windows and turned off the A/C. This improved the situation a little bit. Then I noticed a pack of tissues by the bed, left by the previous guests, really? I also spent the first night killing black bugs that kept coming in through the patio door because there was no screen door on it. The bed smelled like mold, hard to describe exactly what it smelled like but it stayed on my clothes, disgusting. They sent these automated messages asking how my stay was going so I replied explaining my discomfort but was ignored. Before checking out, I noticed there was a leak in the shower coming from the upstairs room, so I made staff aware and this was acknowledged. As for my complaints, I was given a $30 voucher for my next stay. Who wants to stay in a place like that again?? Outdated and/or poorly maintained. The owner must hate that place, and staff must hate the owner. The good: free EV charging (2 spots), the firepit.

We very much enjoyed our stay - we took advantages of one of the gas fire pits outside, and enjoyed sitting on our balcony, as well as walking around the property. I would highly recommend this property, and I hope to have the opportunity to stay there again.

Don’t stay in stuga 1

We had the option to upgrade to the stuga king which I highly recommend but we were put in stuga one which is next to the fire alarm test closet and the beep of the alarm goes off 24 hours. Needless to say we barely slept. When I purchased my booking I saw a walk out but I was put in a balcony stuga not walk out like the one I reserved so that was very disappointing. The resort itself and grounds are very well kept and cleaned. Staff is not very friendly, seemed like we were a bothered more than anything. Also, I received a call, text and voicemail about late check in but we already had checked in over 5 hours ago. Little disorganized
