There is a place where the grass is greener, the snow is more pristine and the autumn is more brilliant. Where the sights of nature and the sound of music create a vivid symphony for the senses - and where visitors come to be renewed. The Trapp Family Lodge is the place. Activities abound during all four seasons, with 2,700 acres to explore. Take a garden tour or a nature hike. Snowshoe, trek, or cross-country ski on our renowned trails. Go for an old-fashioned horse-drawn carriage ride, swim, play tennis, or stroll down our quiet country road. Or simply exercise your right to do nothing at all. Year-round festivals, antiquing, attractions, art galleries, dining, and shopping are all available in the quaint 200-year-old town of Stowe.

We had a wonderful time. The guesthouse was great. While the kitchen is small, it was well equipped and quite functional. As expected at a Trapp property, everything was in excellent condition. While we could have used more snow to make the cross country skiing better, that is the chance you always take with cross country skiing in New England. Overall an excellent rental and I would recommend it to anyone, whether in winter summer or fall.
Top shelf accommodations at the Trapp Family Guest House with all the associated amenities. Exceptional communication by owner who bent over backwards to ensure our early check-in. The chalet was spacious, clean and well-equipped including cut logs for the fireplace. The bedrooms were roomy and the the beds very comfortable which was very welcome after an enjoyable day on the slopes. The location is quiet and serene but just a few minutes drive from downtown Stowe offering a a myriad of dining options. The weather was very accommodating w/10" of fresh powder on our 2nd day which only added to the beauty of Stowe and its great skiing. Thanks to our great host, Mari!
