This space in this place is great. Lots of bedrooms and space to gather. The location is also very good and close to the Festival theatre. A few things that need improvement. The listing says you get the entire home but the family lives in the basement. This is not that big of a deal since you have a lot of space but when we arrived late after a show, I felt like we needed to be quiet because of people in the basement. Also, the TV on the second floor was not working. There was Keurig cups and a Keurig for guests but the Keurig was not working properly as the coffee was not warm when it came out and there wasnât cream available for the coffee. We would have appreciated a book of some sort explaining our stay, WiFi passwords, places in the area, etc. I enjoy staying at a Virbo because you get all of the things that you would get at a hotel but much more space and closeness to the people you are traveling with. This place had the space but did not have all of those benefits of a hotel. A little more effort would have been appreciated.
Check in was smooth and our stay was comfortable with plenty of room for our group. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked which helped us to feel at home for our visit. It was great to be able to walk to all theatres in the festival. The owner lives on-site in the lower level with a separate, private entrance.
Large, excellent property, with all of the essentials in place, clean and ready to go. Only a few minutes walk to the Festival theatre and a little further to the other two. We had a wonderful three days there.
The house is very nice, the backyard area not finished yet. It could use some more seating at the kitchen island and at the table. Also, it should be noted that the Host is living in the basement. The kitchen could use some actual tea towels. All beds and bathrooms were great. Close to downtown 4 or 5 blocks to walk. All in all the stay was comfortable - could use a "booklet" setting out Wifi password, things about the house and what events, places to see while in Stratford.
