Charming. Good if you are there to see a play. Maybe not so good when there for work - my room had no desk or couch and working there in the evenings wasnât an option. But most people go to Stratford for the theatre and itâs good for that. Good location, charming old house. No breakfast so maybe BNB stands for bed and bathroomâŠ.
Very nice place - historically fascinating - loved the decorating. A place with personality. We've been to Stratford many times, but this was our first time staying here. We'd definitely come back!
The Stone Maiden is a lovely inn, walking distance to the restaurants and theatre. The owners have maintained the history of this amazing building. The Secret Garden Room is like a private apartment at the top of the building, we loved it. Super charming.
We stayed one night in the Lewis Terrace room while attending a performance at the Festival Theatre. The Inn is undergoing renovations so I won't comment on the general condition of the property. Also we did not partake of the complementary breakfast. The room was unique with a comfortable queen bed with nice sheets and pillows. However the bathroom had only one light over the sink and mirror while the toilet and bathtub/shower were in darkness. In spite of running the faucet for an extended time there was no hot water!
I only gave this property an average review. The mattress was too soft for us and the room was alittle overdecorated. There was no cable TV and we couldnât get the the streaming to work.Breakfast was adequate for a continental but no buns muffins or croissants which we associate with a continental
