For your convenience, there's a well-lit BBQ area with cold water and power, perfect for outdoor gatherings. A spacious covered deck provides a shaded retreat, while a large private outdoor shower with a dressing area ensures you can rinse off comfortably after beach adventures.

The fully equipped kitchen boasts upgraded appliances and granite countertops, allowing you to prepare delicious meals with ease. Cute little home in Holden

This lovely little home is just perfect for two people or a small family. I would definitely choose to stay here again if the opportunity arises. The description of the physical house is spot on, although the list of items provided by the property manager may be a bit misleading. While it was mentioned in the confirmation email that we needed to bring everything except for bed linens, the house was actually fully stocked with nice pots, pans, dishes, glassware, and all the cooking and eating utensils you could need. A Keurig and drip coffee maker, blender, and mixer were available. We also found some spices (and plenty of salt shakers), paper towels, dishcloths, and oven mitts. In the bedrooms, towels, linens, and toilet tissue were provided as well. I mention this not to criticize the property manager, as I'm sure it's a standard email confirmation, but to help out future guests so they don't have to bring as much stuff. The stairs leading up to the house can be a bit daunting when carrying multiple loads of unnecessary items, especially in 90-degree heat. The location of the home was fantastic. It's just one house away from the public beach entrance, which has plenty of parking. Keep in mind that the beach in front of the house may be bustling with lots of people, so if you prefer a quieter beach experience, this may not be the best choice for you.

Wonderful Stay!

My family and I absolutely loved staying in this beach house. It was very comfortable and had plenty of room for the 4 of us. The kitchen had absolutely everything we needed and the hot tub was a great place to hangout during our February stay. This place seemed very homey and loved. We can't wait to come back again.

Cozy and comfortable

Place was shabby chic, comfortable but not perfect. Loved the kitchen, had all the conveniences - even spices! The security system needed some instructions to turn off when we opened windows!! Loved the Hot Tub. The weather was not ideal but the Hot tub saved the trip!! Lots of games and puzzles and books. Look forward to going back! Perfect for our little family of 4!!

Sweet beach home

We LOVED our stay! Just a few nights but the house was perfect. We loved it and everything was great! The hot tub was not in the best condition and the bedroom carpet needs replacing but otherwise, every inch of the house was so cute and perfect! GREAT beach access and views

Great little spot!

Desperate for a break, we search for a two bedroom oceanfront house with a hot tub. This place did not disappoint. It was quiet, and pretty comfortable .The kitchen and bathrooms are fabulous
We loved the updates, kitchen was well stocked. The beds were comfy, too
great sheets! We loved being able to watch both the sunrise and the sunset from the deck.

Beach Home Away From Home

We’ve been coming to Holden Beach for many years, but had never stayed at the east end of the island. Lulu Rose is a comfortable, well kept beachfront home with an updated, well stocked kitchen (lots of plates, various glassware, pots, casseroles). The bathrooms are also updated. We loved the big coffee table In the living room which was perfect for jigsaw puzzles and games. The deck was perfect for a morning cup of coffee or a dip in the hot tubin the evening. We enjoyed dinner on the lower patio as well. it’s a great place to read in the heat of the day. And... of course, walking down to the beach on the walkway and seeing the turtle nests was a bonus. (No turtles yet!)

Updates Needed

Great location and hot tub was an added extra. The property is in need of a deep clean through out. Cleaners do a mediocre job at best. It’s old which was fine but the owners need to put some money into making it look a little nicer. Definitely not taken care of.

Great For Small Group

We loved this place. It is older, but we like that. The view is perfect. Everything was clean and comfortable. Our only disappointment was that the oceanfront hot tub was not checked or properly working our first night. Once I called, it was fixed and ready for night #2. Otherwise, it was an great anniversary weekend.

Dirty old house

Ocean was beautiful... the decor needs to be updated, chipped furniture, awful aqua stained rug , stained couch covers , hot tub had brown foam , not clear did not use at all, large roaches, the tub was dirty, small rug were dirty and could not enter down stairs laundry room. I left it cleaner then i found it.

Beautiful cottage, but needs a lot of care.

We have been going to Lulu Rose for several years now. We have always enjoyed our little cottage on the beach, but it seems that the upkeep has diminished very noticeably each year. When we first arrived we had to immediately call maintenance for all the lights that weren't working, both inside and outside. He came pretty quickly, but only replaced a few lights stating it was a fuse box issue. Not sure if that made me feel very safe! The other issues we had were the overall cleanliness of the place was sorely lacking. The couch and chair covers were stained and looked like they hadn't been washed...ever! We also encountered two roaches, one on the kitchen counter and one in the back bathroom. We were so disappointed with the cottage this time, especially given the fact that the prices keep increasing but the house seems to deteriorating before our eyes! So very sad! It breaks our hearts that we may not return to Lulu given the present circumstances.
