Loved Holden
We really enjoyed our stay in Holden. We have stayed at neighboring beaches, but this was first time at Holden. Holden was quiet and lots of families. good to beach to play all day and cook at home. House was about 5 miles down the island, which we liked. Seemed quieter. House was clean and all the space we needed, bedrooms, kitchen and living room. Having laundry was great. The house is older and bathrooms reflect this, but they are clean. There was no toilet paper at all and towels do not come with rental so make sure you bring all you need. Sheets are in bags and need to be put on beds, but that was not a big deal. House was on the beach with a long walk way. I gave the house 4 stars because walkway is really weathered and difficult to walk on. The boards splinter, are loose and warped and we had someone trip and fall the first day. Once you get off the walkway, you walk on a trail of sand to the beach and its over grown with stickers so we kept shoes on. The home does have access to the walkway next to the home, which is maintained if you want to avoid the walkway altogether, but it's nice coming right into the back porch. Rental company was very attentive and checki n and check out was quick. We'd rent this house again.
