The place is very unique located in a very interesting small town. Check in was quick and easy, staff was very welcoming and friendly. A very good freshly cooked breakfast was served, an unexpected treat. The glamping dome was much roomier than I expected. Very comfortable, it did rain the night we were there so the viewing was not the best but the sleep was excellent.

The room we stayed in was gross. The carpets were nasty. There was supposed to be a twin bed as described in the listing however it was a pull out couch. There was not central air so you couldn’t shut the bedroom door or the person on the twin bed wouldn’t get any air. There was only enough towels for one person. No extra blankets. Only 1 pillow. My mom took a couch pillow that was so gross and wrapped her blanket that she brought around it to sleep. The best part…only one lightbulb worked in every room

The glamping dome was very fun to stay in. We enjoyed it! The breakfast was very hearty and healthy. We'd stay again next time we are in WV. The Flatwoods Monster and Big Foot Museums are intetesting glimpses into the unique cryptid sightings in WV and are only a few blocks down from the Elk Hotel.

Everyone there was so amazing. The Hostess was so friendly and inviting. And the owners were also super great. They fixed you a homemade breakfast and it was sooo delicious.
