Villa Ivona di San Lorenzo is a luxurious modern villa for 8 in the heart of Istria. It is the perfect escape for friends or families who want to relax by the private pool or explore this beautiful region. Only 20 minutes from the Adriatic coast and the town of Poreč, it is ideally located to keep guests of all ages happy!

The décor is stylish and modern with all the rooms on the ground floor opening directly onto the terrace by the swimming pool. The spacious living area includes a large L-shaped sofa with a TV. Next to the sofa, there is a smart dining table for 8. The kitchen is separated from the dining area by a useful breakfast bar, ideal for quick snacks. The kitchen is well-equipped with a cooker hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and a Dolcegusto coffee machine.

The owners have lavished as much attention to the outdoor spaces as they have with the interiors. There are several sun loungers by the swimming pool where guests can relax after a refreshing dip. For dinners al fresco, there is a shaded dining area next to the sitting room. There is also an outside seating area with a sofa and armchairs, where guests can enjoy drinks overlooking the pool.

Sleeping
Bedroom 1: On the ground floor, this airy bedroom has a double bed, a workspace for a laptop, a wardrobe, en suite bathroom and French windows leading out to the swimming pool terrace.
Bedroom 2: This first-floor bedroom has a double bed, desk, a wardrobe, a private balcony and an en suite bathroom. The shaded balcony is furnished with a sofa and armchairs so guests can relax in peace and enjoy the panoramic views across the Istrian peninsula.
Bedroom 3: The 3rd bedroom includes 2 single beds, a wardrobe, and an en suite bathroom. This bedroom also has a private balcony.
Bedroom 4: Another light-filled bedroom with a double bed, wardrobe, en suite bathroom and a balcony.

Bathrooms
Each of the 4 en suite bathrooms has a glass shower, basin and WC.

Location
The villa is in a quiet area, on the hillside, with panoramic views stretching all the way to the Adriatic Sea. It is a 7-minute stroll into Sveti Lovreč one of the best-preserved Medieval towns in Istria. Some of the defence towers are still standing, which gives visitors an idea of the impressive old fortifications. There are several grocery stores in the town, and restaurants if you do not feel like cooking.

Just 5 minutes away you will find one of Croatia’s most famous winemakers. Ivana Matošević, offers daily tours and wine tastings and most people leave with at least 2 bottles to enjoy at home.

The town of Poreč (20 minutes) has so much to see, including the Euphrasian Basilica complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with Byzantine mosaics. Poreč has a daily market from 6am to 2pm every day. Here you can find local produce, homemade cheese, olive oils and a wide range of vegetables and fresh fruit.

The historic city of Pula (40 minutes) makes an unmissable day trip. It is home to one of the best-preserved amphitheatres in the world, the Pula Arena. Visitors can explore most of the city on foot and see the Temple of Augustus and the Forum, as well as the impressive citadel. The Forum is the city’s central square, full of cafés and excellent restaurants.

Pula International Airport is 30 minutes away.
