This furnished apartment in the Hyde Park Plaza, is very spacious and full of light. It is within walking distance to the City, Darling Harbour, The Rocks and close to all conveniences, transport, shops and city landmarks.

Great location. The space itself is a little dated, but overall clean. They only had one set of towels, so due to our length of stay, we had to wash them a couple times. Close to everything and nice and peaceful.

Nice location

Location is near most of the places that you want to go to when visiting Sydney. It could be loud outside by the streets at nights that's because location is within the heart of Sydney cars passing by the busy streets.Thank you.

Sydney Harbour Stay

The location of this property was a 10/10. It had so many sights that were within walking distance and the bus system was convenient. There were a lot of great things about our stay but the apartment itself needed some TLC and a good cleaning. There was definitely some yuck on the walls and the toilet and sink were leaking.

Not as bad as some reviews suggest. It's a bit shaggy, but overall it worked well for us. Right on the edge of Hyde Park at Oxford St., so there's a bit of noise from traffic and people in the street, but it wasn't a problem. The freezer needed a defrost but everything worked well enough and it was comfortable and very close to everything in the city. About 10 minute walk from Museum Station - which is on the airport train line. We'd stay again, especially as it was a lot less expensive than other places on offer in the city.

Great location, dirty, musty smell

We didn’t stay the full 3 days and decided to leave early even though we couldn’t get a partial refund. This is a great location it’s just musty smelling and especially the bathroom was not what we expected. The pictures look dated but definitely are doctored to take out grout mildew and other grime.

This place is in the perfect location to ask all around the city of Sydney. A must rent for those of us on a budget but wanting to be in a great location. Loved this place and can't wait to return!

Review

When I arrived the bed frame was broken. Called Peter who fixed it the next day. Apt has 1950's feel. Great location with grocery stores and eateries nearby. Across the street from bottom of Hyde Park and 1 block from train to Circular Quay. Couldn't figure out how the microwave worked but managed to just add minutes. Very open plan with eat in counter.

Great location

This location suited us very well while we were out of our home during renovation. It is not a luxury unit however the price for the location very reasonable. It's not 5 star; it's kind of like staying at an old bachelor uncle's place. Very adequate. The pool and gym are closed for repairs and have been for some time. Thank you.

Extremely Satisfied, No Complaints

Had an all round blast, the premises are in a great location right on Oxford St and Hyde Park. Kings Cross is a 15 minute walk, Museum train station is a 3 iron away and Peter was a joy to engage with throughout and is unfailingly helpful and polite. There is a supermarket across the road, an off licence round the corner and more bars, pubs clubs or cafes than you can drink in within staggering distance. I'm short , great place, great host, fair price and location location location.

Like other reviews the place is in need of a detailed clean and some general maintenance. High touch surfaces were clean (bed, kitchen benches etc) but things like thick dust on frames, mould in bathroom & filthy balcony doors were in need of attention. I expected all this once I checked in so it met expectations. The room is spacious which was nice. Great views down Oxford St from balcony (level 6). Ild prob stay here again as location was great and met my needs.

Great location. No parking on site closet parking is 2 blocks away.. And $49 a night! Room was honestly horrible bed nilly unbearable lumpy and broken springs. Bathroom full of mould, band-aid. Stuck to ceiling. Bar fridge/ freezer that over due for a defrost that the door don't shut and ice melts all over kitchen floor making it slippery

Clean and Convenient. But Dated

Tens of thousands were in Sydney for the Edinburgh Tattoo during the 4 days we visited, so hotel prices were ridiculously high. We were happy to find this place as we just needed a clean and convenient spot to put our pillows at night. It’s location provides an easy walk to most everything. Some areas throughout the facility were in need of maintenance, repair, paint or carpet. The building was “probably” built in the 70s, and it showed. A local lead us a couple of blocks away to a FANTASTIC breakfast restaurant.......”Two Good Eggs Cafe” at 2/148 Goulburn Street. We returned every morning to perhaps the best breakfasts we have ever had!

Great location , tired, dirty and noisy property.

The property is in desperate need for a make-over. The bathroom is ‘basic’ , mildew, disrepair. The biggest problem was the street noise: trucks, sirens made it impossible to sleep. The television was very old and only free-to-air channels available. Furniture on the balcony was rusted. Tap washers all need replacing. The swimming pool was closed for September. A bad experience never to be repeated..
