The cabin is nice and right by the water. Loved the river access. The only problem was the neighbors dog which was sweet and very friendly to kids and my dog which I paid 150 to bring. I also kept my dog crated when we went anywhere ( she weighs 6 pounds) but when we returned from town I stepped in a big pile of fresh dog crap! We also had to keep shoes on children because apparently dogs that live around there use the parking area and around the deck for a potty. I picked up after my dog but it seems I was the only one. Other than that we enjoyed the beautiful river and watching the birds.
The best! This is our second time there and we will continue to return. This place is always clean, very relaxing, and the sweetest neighbor dog. We love it!
We absolutely love this cabin! I love the little touches of soaps and shampoo, just in case we forgot, which we did! The next-door neighbor has two cats and a dog that adopt you when you come to stay in their wonderful source of enjoyment! Having access to the river Was so much fun, especially for my boys who love to explore nature.
The cabin was nice. The heating unit would not heat well so we only stayed one of the 3 nights we booked. Also, the long trail getting to the cabin was hazardous which was NOT mentioned in the ad. In fact there is a sign posted at the beginning of the driveway that says âenter at your own riskâ.
This was an adorable property close to town! Fair warning, the drive out looks daunting but isn't bad after the first time. No wifi but lots of movies and tv options.
Stunning home on the river - great stay with beach front river property. The house was very spacious and comfortable to stay in. Very clean and homey!
I do wish there were more cleaning supplies available such as a broom and disinfectant since we were in the river all day. Also this house has immediate neighbors which wasnât preferred. They were very kind people however!
Nice place no problems with the cabin at all. Need to include in your property details of getting there that it is a one lane gravel road, that requires a 4 x 4 or high vehicle so you donât drag on the road. Also must back up down the narrow road if somebody is coming your way needs to be a 2 lane road and a more visible sign of property number for this unit. The cabin has a hwy across from unit next to river that is very loud, not very quiet as the property details state.
Great cabin and very relaxing space. We enjoyed our visit and hope to return. I would only recommend driving a truck or other taller, off-road vehicle to access. The "road" is rather narrow, curvy, and rocky but it's worth it!!!
The location on the river was great and was beautiful. Easy access to fishing from the bank. There is a rafting company that people do use often and they are floating by. The location of the cabin is within an hour of gatlinburg and the nantahala forest. The towns of sylva & dillsboro offer unique restaurants & shops. There were plenty of kitchen gadgets, pots & pans, etc for easy cooking. Just know the last mile or so driving to the cabin is a single lane gravel road.
It was okay but the trash bin was extra full we stayed four days and had 3 bags of trash and could not put any of them in the trash cans and they wanted us to take the garbage out which was ok and they did provide the trash bags but if you stay longer than that take you more paper towels and toilet tissue you will need them.
First off the cabin is very nice and comfortable and had everything we needed, including a gas grill with 2 propane tanks handy. The view of the river from the deck and grounds is beautiful. This is a secluded cabin in only the sense that you will have to traverse a roughed-in one way mountain rd. This was no issue for our 4WD Subaru and we only encountered 3 other vehicle's on our 6 night stay, luckily we encountered them near a passable area otherwise one of us would have to reverse down a steep narrow rd. Once you reached this beautiful cabin you think you have made it to peace and serenity... until you realize the main highway that runs through the town is just a stones throw away across the river and drowns out any peace and quiet you are seeking. Unfortunately i had already booked a nonrefundable stay before reading the others comments about this issue, so if you are reading this, think twice about whether this will bother you or not. Its not so loud it will keep you up in your bedroom, but is loud enough to drown out the babbling river noise all day and night. I came up from the very busy Tampa FL area and hear less road traffic. This was a huge disappointment and although a beautiful cabin and view. We will not return. Also, towels smelled terrible, had to rewash multiple times and there was pet hair on all the comforters. We tossed them off the beds and used the provided clean sheets and throws. Everything else was sparkling clean.
