My room has a small kitchenette fully equipped w electric stoves/oven, refrigerator, pots, pans, plates and bowls, knifes and cutting boards, almost everything to cook a quick meals. Very clean and safe area. Hotel is about 5 min walk from Tasch train station. Zermatt is 1 station away from Tasch. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Zermatt.

A new hotel so everything still looks nice and tidy. Convenient location by the train station. The town does not offer much. A few hotels, taxi and parking services and a large train station. The hotel restaurant "Da Vinci" needs a bit more experience in many aspects to attract other than hotel guests.

Great hotel but there’s not much to do in the area. You would have to take the train or a taxi to get into Zermatt, which is the main attraction for the area. The hotel did provide a taxi transfer to and from Zermatt. If you’re looking to save money and don’t mind the extra step to get to Zermatt, then yes, consider this hotel. But in hindsight, I think I would’ve tried to find something in Zermatt.

We had the “family room” which was really nice because it had two rooms adjoined with a little hall that was separate from the main hall. Very modern and new. The rooms were a little hot and we didn’t have a thermostat. We opened the windows but it was a little loud outside to sleep. Check in was great. There’s paid parking on site but that was the cheapest thing we had in all of Switzerland and they give a discount with a validation which was nice. It’s a 5 minute walk to the train that takes you to Zermatt. They even give you free drinks at check in. All of that was great. The breakfast staff was great and the breakfast was also great…including mimosas!! The only negative was the restaurant for lunch and dinner. They just really weren’t nice. We sat down where other people had just been sitting and then they told us we couldn’t sit there. I was given the same dirty plate not once but twice (and I mean there were pretty large pieces of croissant on the plate) with no apology. My husband and I were going to share a pizza and they only brought me silverware. I said he was eating too and they brought the silverware but no napkin. They didn’t offer us water or anything. We had two different waitstaff on two different occasions and both were rude to us. So, although the food was good, it put a damper on the mood.
