West Shore House in the Woods

This three-bedroom/two-bathroom home is pet-friendly and in a nice quiet, very cool neighborhood. High ceilings, loads of natural light and easy access to summer and winter trials makes it a pretty perfect house and location.

The open floor plan upstairs includes a living area, dining area, and kitchen with a breakfast bar. The dining table seats six and the breakfast bar four. There is a large deck and big windows in the house so everyone can enjoy the views! Off the deck there are stairs that go down to a fenced yard for your dog to play freely in.

The house sits in a fantastic location on the West Shore! It is found on a quiet cul-de-sac with easy access (one block!) to the trails that lead to Page Meadows and the Rim Trail. Great for hiking or biking in the summer and the trail to Page Meadows is often groomed for walking, snowshoeing or cross-country skiing in the winter. You can always find a Tahoe dog or two walking on this trail! You are also close to Sunnyside and Tahoe City, and just a short drive to Palisades Tahoe and Homewood resorts.

All three bedrooms and both bathrooms are on the downstairs level. The master bedroom has a king and ensuite bath, the second bedroom has a queen bed and the third bedroom has two twins. The one-car garage has room for all your equipment whatever the season. This property gives you convenient access to the very popular year-round West Shore recreation. It does not get much better than that!

PROPERTY NOTES
* We provide a starting supply of toilet paper, paper towel, and laundry detergent, but recommend bringing extra for longer stays.
* We do not provide shampoo / conditioner / or body wash although there could be some left from previous guests.
* We recommend 4 x 4, AWD, or carrying snow chains in the winter months.
* There is no air conditioning in this rental.
* Firewood is not provided and can be purchased at most local stores.

Great find!

We stayed here for two nights and extended one more night. The property is located on the West Shore - close to Sunnyside and Chambers Lamding. The house was comfortable and clean. We brought our dogs who enjoyed watching squirrels from the upper deck of the house. Quiet neighborhood!

Wonderful cabin in quiet location perfect for visiting Lake Tahoe. Very clean, well appointed and great layout with bedrooms downstairs. Upstairs walk out deck with plenty of space, tables and umbrellas and grill. Ample space for parking. Very responsive host to a few minor questions. We loved our stay. Thank you.

Bright and large place in beautiful Sunnyside Tahoe City

This is a bright and large house in Tahoe City/ Sunnyside Lake Tahoe, about one mile walking distance from a private beach (beach access comes with the house). We liked the overall setup, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms in the ground floor and a large, open living and dining space with open kitchen and an outside terrace on the top floor. A garage has space for one car, more cars can be parked in a private driveway. The place is overall - for its cost - in a reasonable condition and reasonably well equipped. Some areas where it could have been cleaner (stains on carpet and a bed cover, BBQ not clean), but overall ok clean. Overall, we liked the place and recommend it for a family stay. The part that we didn't like at all were all the extra charges through Venmo, which made this weekend stay quite expensive.

Fabulous mountain home

We loved staying at this property. It’s not fancy but neat , clean and very comfortable . It is close to Tahoe city , Sunnyside , Swiss Lakewood . Everything we needed was here . Peaceful and very enjoyable getaway

We have stayed as family including gandparents and young children in this beautiful vacation home for a few nights. We had a great time. The management via Tahoe Vacation Rental was formidable. Despite other houses close by it was a very quite neighborhood, close to shops, restaurants and beaches. The private beach to which the vacation home provides access to has a rocky beach, no sand, so we preferred to drive south 20 minutes to beautiful sandy beaches. For guests travelling with young kids it might be good to know that there are absolutely no toys available in the house, which is ok but would be a great plus for travelers who fly into the area. I give 4 instead of 5 stars in my ranking because the dining table had only 5 instead of 6 chairs despite the fact that we rented it for 6 people and one chair was broken. The management reacted very quickly and brought two replacements. Sadly the table on the patio only really fit two people for dining why we were never able to enjoy eating outside on this otherwise very spacious patio. But really, I can very much recommend staying at this house.

Nice place on the West Shore

The cabin was nice, clean, and well appointed. Two frustrations were that we were only provided with one key (no lock box there) so when we had plans for separate activities it was an extra thing to deal with. Also, we were asked to remove the sheets and run the dishwasher despite paying a significant cleaning fee...we have stayed in many cabins in the area and that was a first.
