The house was charming and quite comfortable, making it a pleasant place to stay. However, I hesitated to give it a five-star rating due to cleanliness issues, including the presence of bed bugs in our room and a leaking toilet. On a positive note, the property management team was exceptional; they were responsive and proactive in addressing our concerns, promptly dispatching their maintenance staff to resolve the issues. They also assisted us in finding alternative accommodations, demonstrating their commitment to guest satisfaction.
Exceeded expectations, great decor, very clean, location is great, quiet area, loved the seclusion with trees around the property, close drive to groceries and restaurants. Kitchen is well stocked, bedrooms are cozy, bathrooms spacious enough. Communication with host is good. We loved our stay and will definitely like to try it in wintertime in the future.
What a great place! Our family of 6 stayed and thoroughly enjoyed the location, the accommodations and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking. We absolutely loved it. Clean! Comfy! Up-to-date decor, windows that worked, easy instructions to get in etc. We would highly recommend to others!
For me a 4 star hotel is great and I would stay there again just like I would happily stay at this house again. A 5 star hotel everything should be perfect and this was not perfect. The house itself was beautiful. The surrounding was amazing, the furniture was nice and very comfortable including the beds. The home has everything you need for a great vacation. Only a short walk to a hiking trail...on one of our walks we ran into a momma bear and 2 cubs and was the experience of a lifetime. Communication from management company was good not great. They sent us the key lock info but not the internet info. I have never stayed at a VRBO where the internet info was not somewhere in the home but since it was not, and we did not have cellular coverage (not their fault) we had to drive 10 minute to find coverage so we could email them, wait for a response, and then go back to connect to the internet. The internet info should be sent with lock key info and should be listed in house somewhere. Second, the location said they had a grill. Many VRBO's dont have a grill which is fine but if you say you have one it should work. On the way and bought steaks, stuff for burgers, chicken, etc thinking we would grill each night. We were able to get the grill to come on but it would only go on low. So we had to cook in kitchen but they had NO over mitts so we had to use wash rags. I am pretty sure they could buy over mitts on Amazon for less than 5.
We were very pleased with the property. The layout, furnishings, amenities, and decor suited me and the family very well! We also liked being so close to dining, shopping, and recreational activities! We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!
The cabin was adorable with comfortable furnishings. We loved how the property was located in a safe community and not located on the main drive; it made for more a a tranquil vibe when we were relaxing on the deck. It was only an 8min drive to Kings Beach so we still had great access to plenty of shops and restaurants. The place was very clean and provided all the basics for our stay. We received great communication from the management company with all the information we needed. Would stay again!
Let me start by saying that the issues were all resolved by the property management company during our stay, but I canât leave anything other than a 1 star review.First the negatives;- The heating did not work, so when we arrived during a snowstorm late at night it made for a very uncomfortable frozen night where we had to huddle the family together to stay warm. It turns out there was an issue with the thermostat which had to be replaced and once the replacement part was installed the following afternoon the heating worked fine the rest of our stay.- The Tumble Dryer did not work to dry our clothes. Again, the property management company sent someone to fix the issue and after removing some parts and replacing them they got it working.- While the rest of the house was very clean and well appointed a blanket was left on the sofa with something unmentionable caked onto it. I can see how the cleaners missed this but it was disgusting to find.Positives- This is a very nice house in a great neighborhood. We have stayed here before and had a great time which is why we returned. We have stayed at many properties in this neighborhood over the past 10 years and there is every reason to think your stay will be better than ours- The property management company quickly worked to address the issues we raised and the person they sent to resolve was excellent.- I understand the kinds of issues we encountered may come up, but all the same I leave disappointed
Home and decor exceeded expectations based on photos, especially the high end, generally well-stocked kitchen (suggestion: add a cutting board and oven mitts). Beautiful fireplace, but no wood provided. (Suggestion: mention in the posting or check-in info.)Snowshoe trails a few blocks away was perfect! Plus, a close drive to Northstar. One big frustration: the posting majes no mention ubtil *after* booking that the guest is required to sign up with not one, but TWO third party companies to complete the reservation -- a property management company and some "verification" service. Had never heard of either and was required to provide many personal I.D. and other details.
Home is in a great location surrounded of trees. Access to the house was easy and the place was great for a long weekend during Christmas. Wood fireplace was definitely a plus. Spaces are bit smaller than in pics, but overall a great stay. We will likely go back.
