We decided to take a last minute trip to Tahoe before our kids head back to school. We were fortunate to find O'Brien's Den. It was well appointed, great location in Tahoma (on the west side of Lake Tahoe), great proximity to hiking, Emerald Bay, Tahoe City, and the North and South shores of Lake Tahoe.
The place was accurate and easy to access. The bathroom is really nice with heated floors and a rain shower. I feel like there are small things that could bring this stay to 5 stars, like higher quality sheets. Also, not sure if this was just during our stay, but there were chainsaws going right across the street during almost the entire day time while we were there.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at O'Brien's Den! It's located in a very quiet neighborhood. The kitchen was well stocked, the bed was very comfy, and love the heated floor in the bathroom. It just a short hike to the Lake, and a nice beach that is not crowded at all. We needed to extend the stay one more day because of snow, and the host was very accommodating. Highly recommended!
OâBrienâs Den is an awesome cabin tucked away in a quiet neighborhood in Tahoma, Lake Tahoe. It was perfect for my Husband and I and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The unit was very clean, organized and felt homey right from the start. The bedrooms are small, however, the linens, blankets, towels pillows are all very cozy. The kitchen is all set up with pretty much everything you need to prepare meals, and we did. It is a very quiet neighborhood which made for some very relaxing wine drinking in the comfy chairs provided out front. You could hear the swaying of the pine trees which was quite lovely. We will definitely stay there again. Thanks for a super relaxing weekend OâBrienâs Den!
We had a nice stay. The house was just big enough for us and had everything we needed. The area was beautiful and the neighbors were very nice. We had a few hiccups, 1) the property was supposed to have a bunk bed, but when we arrived it was not there, 2) The bathroom sink wouldn't drain without holding up the drain. 3) So hot without ac (we new before hand it would have ac) they provided fans and it made it bearable but was super hot. These are little issues and I would stay here again in a heart beat.
Very clean cozy cabin. Very well planned out space wise! Nice outdoor patio with gas bbq all supplies you need to cook!! Close to sugar pine beach short drive. Bathroom pretty spacious and very stocked! Would stay here again !
O'Brien Den was the perfect place for our family.clean, cozy with all the amenities we needed. It was a short walk to the beach and provided a quiet restful place for us to relax. Highly recommend.
Obrien's cabin is a great place for a small family getaway. Cabin was very clean and well stocked. While it is not big, space is used very efficiently which makes it feel a bit bigger. The feel is cozy cabin with some modern touches. Access to Sugar Pine Point State Park was great as we hiked both out to the west and also down to the beach,
Great cabin - new and nicely furnished. Compact but has every thing you need. Good beds and linens. Very clean. Kitchen very well stocked for cooking meals. Picnic tables and barbecue. Within walking distance of local market, parks, beaches, and trails. Quiet, wooded neighborhood. We'll stay here again next visit.
We pulled up to OâBrienâs Den in late March. The house was barely peaking through the snow thatâs been falling and condensing all winter. Lovely sight for our little ones, who are first time visitng the snow. Our weekend snow trip was a delight because of this house. Very new, modern and cozy. I was looking for a cottage, so kids can experience it, and it met the expwctaion! Many smart features (gas fireplace with smart thermostat, heated floor, etc.). The backyard served perfectly as a snow playgroud for our little ones. We even went sledding down the rooftop! Kitchen was well oriented, open space to dining and living room. The appliances and the whole house looked brand new. One little (and not really) con might be thereâs no window covering on the front door, so itâs clear from the street to look through into the house to the hallway. No biggie though. We used garbage bag to cover at night.
Checkin/checkout was easy. Located in nice little neighborhood. We said goodbye to the house and promised to visit again.
The place was great. The kitchen/dining/living room layout was very conducive to everyone being together while cooking, eating, or watching a movie. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook big meals. The bathroom was nicely laid out. The beds were comfortable.
The only slight downside was the bedrooms were a little tiny.
Overall, a great stay.
This was a great cabin, quite and cozy. Itâs new and had almost everything we needed for our week stay.
Only small issue was when you did a load of laundry, during the spin cycle the whole cabin shakes - donât do your laundry when kids are sleeping, itâs in the closet where the bunk bed is at.
Would have liked to have some larger pots or pans in the kitchen as well. Just minor things, will stay here again probably during spring or summer.
