I like the Shangri-La hotels. Room was large and comfortable, bed was very comfortable. Sheets were good quality. Breakfast room was too cold. Food was ok. Keeping the food stations supplied seemed to vary. Variety was very good. Staff was very helpful. Maybe keeping Breakfast open until 10:30 am would be helpful.

The hotel feels quite old — you can even smell it. It really needs some updates to match a 5-star standard. Service was good though; staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, not bad, but definitely not what I’d expect from a top-tier hotel.

Stayed there for 2 nights. After check out I found out I left my personal bag in the room. The front desk person let us wait for almost 1 hour before he retrieve the bags. Because of this, I missed the high speed rail I want to take. It turned out the bag was sitting in the concierge service. The lack of communication between hotel staff caused me missing the train. Waiting for an hour to retrieve a bag is total unacceptable.
