Lovely 3 night stay. House was very comfortable and clean.Host was very accomodating with details and our change of dates. The main lounge was not very comfortable / quiet saggy.A good suggestion would be to advise people that there is no phone service in the area unless you are on the telstra network. The local phone box at the shop will give you free wifi if required.
House was clean and presentable. Full equiped kitchen.Didnt need the heating or aircon so cant comment on that.Central to things we needed, due to a family sad event.Would be happy to use this property again.
Our extended family stayed at this property and another around the corner. We loved the house. It had plenty of bedrooms, a big table for a family meal and wonderful views of the mountains. We had morning tea at the local cafe every day. Can highly recommend a swim up at talbingo dam.
Spacious retreat in a fabulous location with great local attractions.
We had a fantastic stay at this charming old property! The space was perfect for our family of five, with four good sized bedrooms that easily accommodated three teens, my partner and myself. The dining area was roomy, allowing us all to sit comfortably together and enjoy meals. The property itself was lovely and quiet, providing the ideal retreat after a day of exploring. Everywhere we went, we were met with friendly locals, which added to the welcoming vibe of the area. Our host was fantastic â communication was excellent, and Robert ensured we had everything we needed during our stay. One of the highlights was the Talbingo boat rampâs swimming area, which was a great spot to relax and enjoy the surrounding scenery. The proximity to the local club made it easy for us to enjoy a nice meal out, and the weather was perfect throughout our trip.We also had a great time visiting the nearby Yarrangobilly Caves and exploring Kosciuszko National Park â they are absolutely worth the visit! All in all, this was a wonderful, relaxing getaway in a picturesque location. Highly recommend!
Property has great potential but could do with a good deep clean.Riddled in cobwebs. All over roof and on walls cobwebbed ourselves.Cleaned sink and tiles ourselves.Beds uncomfortable.Need to state on description that no towels and linnen provided.
We have stayed at this house twice now. We love the location and would recommend the house for large families or groups. Talbingo is now one of my favourite locations. Nestled in mountains with friendly neighbourhood kangaroos and peacocks! The owner Robert is friendly and very good at responding to enquiries.
The place is clean and close to (about 50 mins drive) Selwyn Snow Resort. The heating system works very well, there is a heater in the lounge and air conditioning system for the bedrooms, there are electric blankets for the double beds. Kept us warm the whole stay. Will definitely come back and stay again.
It was a fantastic stay for our family. It was warm and cozy and had all the amenities we needed. We highly recommend this place for a stay with your family or friends.
It is a lovely older style brick home with beautiful ceiling roses. Very convenient to the country club where the wedding reception was. Neat and tidy and the heating was great for this time of the year. It took me a few minutes to find the kitchen light switch which was on the wall near laundry. The birds and kangaroos were welcome guests. I would gladly have paid more for the linen to be on the beds instead of bringing them with me.
