The FILTHY Best Western Plus in Madison, FL

The hotel is in deplorable condition. The carpet is stained and smelly, the rooms have mildew on the walls, their roaches and large fire ants in the rooms as well. The rooms smelled horrible air freshener didn’t even do it justice. Do not I repeat do not stay at this hotel.. I would like a refund of the two nights stay for two rooms process immediately! This hotel should be shut down until the owners are able to restore it and bring it back to livable conditions.

Madison visit

Overall great stay, quick friendly check in. Nice room clean and comfortable, convenient location to I10 and walkable to fast food and Waffle House. Few items, the toilet was a little loose, and they need a dedicated smoking area away from doorways

I absolutely loved our stay at this property. The room we got was right next to the front desk, the Pool /backyard area, and best of all within a few steps of the great, totally fabulous and served hot every morning serve yourself breakfast. We got the very spacious, king sized bed, jacuzzi tuh in the area where there is a small pull out couch and coffee table also. There was a mistake at the very begining . which in some cases could, have broughe down our whole viiip buy the hotel staff was able to fix this without hestelalem or worry. My family and I will most definitely be returning for another visit.

Pulling up to property we thought it might be closed because the sign had fallen down and vines were growing in it! Also some wires were hanging down in the front, also trash can was overflowing. Carpet in hallways were dirty and coming up by elevators. No carpet in room and mold in bathtub. We would not stay here again!!

The hotel has been in need of several repairs for quite some time by the appearance. Even the sign outside is fallen over from what appeared to be storm damage, but it was from a long time ago since the sign was covered in vines. Several over things need attention especially the elevator.

Dirty Sheets

When I woke up the next morning and threw the sheets back, I realized that the sheets were dirty. There was food, stuck on them from the people that had been there before, so they obviously were not changed. And if the sheets weren’t changed, that probably means a pillowcase wasn’t changed which is totally disgusting. The side door from my room was not secure so anybody could come in.

My stay was great. Check-in was easy and Cindy was friendly and helpful. She reccomended Mama's Family Italian Restaurant. Service was amazing,prices reasonable, and food delicious. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Lots of options. I felt very safe. Would stay again for sure.

The property had been hit by a hurricane and it didn't look like they were in any hurry to fix it. My room wasn't ready upon check in. The breakfast was pretty good and overall the place was clean. Of the hotels in this immediate area, I think this is probably the best one.

clean hotel

The check and stay were very pleasant. Nice and clean room. However; I called the front desk in the afternoon to inform about my late hour check in time, I was put on hold (but not silenced) for almost 6 minutes during which I could hear a group of staff chatting and ordering desserts including strawberry (shortcake or something), ice cream, and others .... I could understand if the receptionist was helping another hotel guest and had to put me on hold, but when I heard a group of them chatting leisurely and taking over 5 min to discuss and decide what desserts they wanted (while giggling)....it was extremely unprofessional.
