Private luxurious home located two blocks from Playa Langosta and five minutes to the town of Tamarindo. It sleeps eight, with two king-size, one queen and two single beds.

The home is built in the style of the homes found in Granada, Nicaragua, wherein the rooms are arranged around an interior courtyard with pool in the colonial style. This makes for a beautiful home, and at the same time very private and secure.

The home has 4 bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, and comes fully equipped with a dishwasher, wireless internet, air conditioning in all bedrooms, TV, stereo hookup for an iPod, microwave, propane stove, comfortable furniture, and a large garage.

The neighborhood is mostly residential and quiet, with a supermarket and nice restaurants within walking distance.

Most importantly the beach with a nice surf break is only 2 blocks away!!

Our stay in Casa Colonial was wonderful. The check-in process was easy and Angelique was so responsive to our questions. The house is in a nice neighborhood and close to a fantastic beach—Playa Langosta—and about a 15 minute, easy walk into Tamarindo. The configuration of the house is unique and we loved having a pool in the middle of it all. Overall, a wonderful stay. Thanks for having us!

Absolutely loved our stay at the villa! Perfectly suited us as a family with 2 teens- lots of space and the pool was amazing. We were in it constantly swimming, floating and playing with the beach ball provided. Local beach was very close and Tamarindo main beach about 15 min walk to surfing. Hosts were excellent and super kind and helpful with everything, thank-you so much. We would book again for sure.

Girls trip

We loved our 2 week stay at the house and in Tamarindo. The house was even better than the pictures. We loved being able to jump in the pool and could chat with whoever was in the kitchen cooking. We all hated to say goodbye to our home away from home.

Happy Holiday Family Vacation

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay during the high season. Playa Langosta is the perfect location as it’s a relaxing community within walking distance of the hustle and bustle of Tamarindo. The pool was an excellent place to begin and end the day. The bedrooms are roomy and each has a walk-in closet and a bathroom. The hosts were relaxed and easy to work with. My husband and I ended up staying in the downstairs bedroom as it has a king bed and we gave our teenager the upstairs bedroom with the queen bed. This worked well as then we didn’t need to navigate the stairs. We recommend this property for a family vacation.

Pleasant and peaceful with perfect accommodations

Angelica was a friendly, superb communicator – she responded to our texts within minutes (sometimes seconds!) and went out of her way to ensure our stay was comfortable and everything went smoothly. She offered early check-in and late check-out to accommodate our flights, and there was a delicious pineapple and wine waiting for us upon our arrival. She brought over batteries for the TV remote and fixed the ignitor on the stove when it went on the fritz. 5/5!! As far as the accommodation goes, it was beautiful. The rooms were spacious, and each bedroom had A/C and large ensuite bathrooms. The centre of the house was an indoor/outdoor area, with the pool in the centre - the pool was maintained several times over the course of our stay. The location was ideal. The house was only two blocks from the beach, and away from the noisy bustling streets of central Tamarindo. Yet everything was accessible, with a supermarcado just down the street and a variety of restaurant options only a few blocks away. One thing worth mentioning is that you are visiting Costa Rica, a land well known for its bugs. We quickly learned to use bug spray and keep the lights low at night as that helped keep the bugs at bay. Highly recommend!

Great location

Great vacation house in Tamarindo

Beautiful property to stay just a short 10minute walk to the core of Tamarindo. The pictures are very accurate to the house. Beautiful pool in the middle, with great lounging spaces. The house is only a 2-minute walk to the beach. Host was great and very easy to communicate with. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Perfect house

We loved our stay at Colonial Villa! It perfectly fit our family of five and was close to town and the beach. The private pool was a plus to refresh in with the hot weather and the AC in the bedrooms felt great.

Great property. Pool in enclosed courtyard. Bedrooms are separated along the courtyard. Kitchen and living room are also in the courtyard, but covered and very comfortable. Walk to town in 15 minutes.

Paradise Found

One of the nicest places we have stayed - We really enjoyed this Nicaguan-Style open courtyard type home - Great privacy and easy living with our own pool and all the amenities we were looking for. This is in an area of upscale homes and hotels and we would love to stay here again. We liked the proximity with Tamarindo in walking distance but far enough away to make when we wanted peace and quiet. Lots of space and very comfortable. The owner was very helpful with everything we needed.

Honeymooning in heaven!

We were on a 2 week honeymoon. We wanted a nice, comfortable, safe and most importantly a private place. Casa Colonial was it. I can't begin to say how perfect it was for us and our family. The first week it was just the 2 of us and having a private enclosed pool area right out the bedroom and next to the living room was incredible. The place was clean, very secure and the check-in and check-out was a breeze. The 2nd week of our honeymoon we had my brother, his wife and their 2 teenaged, surf-crazy kids join us at the house. Plenty of room for all of us and the surf was just down the road. The best surfing trip they ever had! We are already planning to stay here again for our 1st anniversary. Highly recommended!
