Summary:

Kristin and Pete welcome you to stay at The Little Blue Penguin. We offer guests comfortable and clean accommodation, stylishly decorated with thoughtful touches throughout. With every guest booking a donation will be made to support the New Zealand little blue penguin. This newly renovated, fully self-contained two bedroom private suite oozes comfort and style.



The Space:

Located on the lower level of a family home, the suite is completely separate from the main house. Enjoy privacy and security with your own private access and courtyard with BBQ. The suite has two bedrooms and for those extra guests there is a sofa bed. The open plan living area opens up right onto the courtyard and the full kitchen has all the amenities, including a dishwasher and washing machine.

There is good wifi and chromecast for watching Netflix etc.

Just a sort stroll to the beach and with the location central to all that Mount Maunganui has to offer we are sure you stay will be memorable!

Nice and cosy place

Place was nice and clean, very conveniently located close to most things. Only issue is it's very noisy as owners stay right above and you can here them most of the time walking about.

A cosy little apartment

This is a nice but small apartment located in a basement. Everything you need is there, but you do get a bit of noise from the dwelling upstairs (footsteps, washing machine, etc). Good value for money, close to beach, would recommend!

Great property, pristinely tidy, good shower pressure, great communication with the hosts. Kristin and Pete had thought of everything and very friendly but left us alone too! Parking was a bit tight but we do have the biggest car in the world so no drama!

My husband and I stayed for a week. We were both pleased with the experience. Hosts were very accommodating and friendly. Home was cozy and tidy. Especially during the cold snap that came through when we arrived. Home had been warmed before arrival. Very appreciative. Location was perfect. Close to everything especially the beautiful beach. Close to everything and super quiet

Our stay at the Little Blue Penguin suite was fantastic! My mom and I found both beds to be very comfortable and the unit to be tranquil. The location was effortless to find, and the directions for check-in were straightforward to follow. This unit is best suited for adults or couples. You can access it from "town" using the rentable scooters, but the parking spot made it easy to have/use our rental car. I had to use Google to figure out the stove, but that was likely because I'm Canadian and unfamiliar with that type of stove. Being able to do laundry was vital as I had already been on the road for three weeks before we arrived. There is a secluded spot to hang your clothing to dry, doubling as an outdoor dining area. We had a few questions for the owners, and the response time was rapid and helpful. I would stay here again and would recommend it to anyone else. This was the perfect spot for my mother (73) and myself (49).
