Situated in the unspoilt, idyllic countryside of the Eastern Algarve, Vila Laurinha is approximately 30km east of Faro and only a 7 minute drive from the historic and picturesque market town of Tavira. The Spanish border is a mere 20km away. The villa is served by the local characterful village of Santo Estevao, with a shop, cafe, restaurant and all important ATM and Pharmacy. Beaches, golf courses and water parks are all within easy reach by car, as is Faro airport 25 minutes away. There are some wonderful walks and picnic spots to the north with incredible views of the countryside and ocean. The town of Tavira has a distinctly Venetian flavour and lies within the unspoilt countryside of the Eastern Algarve. There a variety of reasonably priced restaurants and bars serving both traditional Portuguese and international fare to suit all tastes and pockets. The daily fish and general market serves as its epicentre with the old Roman bridge dating back to the Roman occupation. The town developed by the Arab occupation and was conquered by the Portuguese in 1242. By the 16th century, Tavira served as a major port in the Algarve

We received a warm welcome from Paula, who showed us around on arrival. The villa was beautiful, with spacious air-conditioned bedrooms which were all en suite. There was a large kitchen, a large dining table, and very comfortable lounge, which meant we could spread out or come together as a family and socialise comfortably. The pool was fantastic. The patio area benefited from two large pergolas, which offered a shaded place to sit with comfy outdoor sofas. There was also a large sunshade by the pool with good-quality sun loungers. The villa was very clean and well-stocked with everything we needed for a great holiday. The hosts have taken care in choosing good quality mattresses and bedding for a great night's sleep. The kitchen had every pot, pan, and utensil required, should you wish to cook. The villa was in a secluded area, which meant it was very peaceful. There were good road links nearby which meant the villa was a great base for exploring the Algarve. Tavira and all its shops and restaurants are a short drive away. I would recommend hiring a car if you were to stay. We did a mixture of exploring the area as well as making the most of the villa's facilities. The photos don't do this villa justice; it's a real gem, and a credit to its hosts.

Absolutely amazing villa. Well and plentiful equipped kitchen with everything you could possibly need . Beautiful outside area pool is amazing. Very clean. Paula is extremely helpful. 2nd Visit to Villa Laurinha

A family holiday with our 2yr old grandson and his 3 month old sister (and their parents of course). The villa was as we remembered it from our previous visit in 2017 with our other grandaughters.. The villa is well equipped and beds very comfortable

Fantastic villa!

Just returned from a family holiday at this beautiful villa. We had plenty contact from Paula with directions and times and she met us there. Facilities were excellent and everything thought of to make a great stay. Rural location so car needed which suited us perfectly. Very modern and stylish decor inside and great pool area. Would highly recommend and hoping to return.

Fantastic set up, great location

Only half-hour ish from the airport, 15mins drive to pretty much any local attraction. Property was very large for a 4 bedroom place. It was well presented, modern and in good condition. The traffic noise seemed to fade in the afternoon (which may be down to wind or heat or something else sciencey). It bothered us at first but then we forgot about it. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful, clean and well equipped villa with A/C, which was most welcome in the very hot weather during our stay. Villa has a lovely pool and is very conveniently situated near the bustling town of Tavira. The only downside is its location close to the A22 and the associated traffic noise.

Fantastic villa, semi rural location but close to facilities

Lovely spacious villa, with four good sized bedrooms, 3 of which have large double beds, the fourth room has 2 single beds. All rooms had aircon, lovely en-suite bathrooms, shutters on the windows (which helped keep the rooms cool) and plenty of storage. Well equipped kitchen, large fridge freezer with an ice maker and drinking water, good quality bed linen and plenty of towels, including pool/beach towels. The patio area is lovely (but in need of a little attention) with plenty of pool chairs, loungers, bbq area etc. Although some loungers were looking a little tired and two were broken, we advised our contact and it was sorted out almost immediately and a new larger parasol was provided, which was very much appreciated. Not the owners fault but there are a lot of dogs around who think they are cockerel’s, as they did like barking together, in unison, at dawn. Although it’s a rural location, it’s close to the motorway, so you did get a bit of traffic noise, it didn’t bother us that much. Tiny tip - Take plenty of mosquito repellent and close windows before the sun goes down. Our contact (Paula) was extremely helpful and the welcome pack of breads, cheese and meats etc, after a long day of travelling and late evening arrival was amazing and really appreciated. We would definitely return, lovely villa indeed.

Lovely Villa

The villa was very spacious and well equipped. Beds were comfortable. We asked for a new frying pan and some more logs, as it was cool the first couple of evenings, and were very impressed when these were brought promptly. The pool and terrace were also very large. Unfortunately we could hear traffic at all times as there is a motorway/main road nearby. We were also hugely disturbed during the day and through the night by barking dogs which I appreciate is not the owner’s fault but feel he should try to address this with the dogs’ owners. Overall we had a lovely time.

Spacious, well appointed villa with large pool

Spacious, well equipped and clean villa located in the countryside only minutes from Tavira. Very comfortable. We were only two but the four en- suite bedrooms makes it ideal for a large famlly or group. Beautiful large pool and lots of outside seating space - shaded or open. Communication with the owner was fast and helpful. Paula, who speaks good English, was very flexible with the check-in and we appreciated the generous welcome 'pack'. We would love to return and have no hesitation in recommending a stay here.

Secluded high quality villa

My husband and I stayed at the spacious Villa Laurinha with another couple. We both had large, beautifully decorated en-suite bedrooms with patio doors to the pool area. There were a further 2 en-suite bedrooms with windows rather than patio doors. The owners have done much to make it a home from home with candles, books, maps and kitchen essentials. The modern interior is complimented by the very large veranda area, where we ate outside, and patio leading to the large pool. The land around the villa is full of lovely plants. If we come back to Tavira we’ll definitely book this villa again.

We really enjoyed staying here. Paula is a lovely lady that took care of any problem that appeared. The house is great well taken care of, beds are cozy and the pool area is nice altough we missed a bit of grass.

Wonderful villa

It is a large villa, the quality is so good you can tell it is regularly visited by the owners as a second home and not just for rental. A car is a must! But it is then only a short drive to many picturesque villages with lots of bars and restaurants, beaches etc etc. I found both the owner and manager to be most helpful from start to finish. Our return flight was at 9pm, so requested a late checkout - as no-one had booked the following day this was not a problem. This made our last day so much easier than if we had to check out at 10am. We left around 5pm!! When we arrived I sent a text to let the manager know we were just getting some shopping and expected time of arrival. Again, most helpful - he advised that getting shopping as soon as you arrive can be a sign to thieves as the weight of your luggage lowers the suspension of the car and the thieves wait for you to enter the supermarket and then steal your suitcases. So bearing this in mind he checked to see if the villa was ready, it was, so he suggested we go to the villa first, drop off our suitcases and then get our shopping. I also found that having a supply of cleaning products including washing powder was great. Often you have to buy a full pack and you probably only need a couple of capsules. A wonderful American fridge freezer - with ice and chilled water - my husband now wants one!! He also wants the Dolce Gustos coffee maker - they left the pods for us too - very nice! Outside is very spacious with 5 tables in total - one at the front, 2 on the raised patio, one just in front of the raised patio and one by the pool. You can chose to sit in the sun or shade as there is always a table in either. There were also 8 sunloungers (at least) and towels were provided for both by the pool and bathroom use. You can climb the stairs to the roof terrace - great views. The pool is large! There are 4 bedrooms and each is on suite - the bathrooms are very modern and clean - good quality! It was our first time to Portugal and I am so glad we chose this villa - we will definately return

Great villa

Excellent villa plenty of space inside and out and the pool was great, very good base to explore Portugal and Spain if you want to and also just a short ride into Tavira. All in all we had very relaxing break and the villa was lovely

Another excellent holiday here

This was our third consecutive year in the villa, and it was as perfect as always. Excellent location, about 25 minutes from Faro airport, modern spacious villa, big swimming pool, secluded spot but only about 10 minute drive into Tavira, 10-15 minutes to where you get ferry to beach, Aldi less than 5 minutes away! We had another lovely stay here, would recommend the villa to everyone! The kids start school this year but we are hoping to come back in the summer holidays next year if we can!

Brilliant holiday

We have just returned from a weeks holiday in this villa, the place is very spacious clean and modern it has everything you need from a fully loaded kitchen to WiFi. We took our grandchildren with us that range from 4 years to one and they had all our needs covered from high chair to cot. Two things to think about the swimming pool does not have an alarm or fence and is very deep one end . If you arrive after 6 pm you have to pay a small fee for a late arrival which we did not know about. As a suggestion a welcome pack would be a good idea if you are arriving later in the evening

Beautiful villa

Villa Laurinha is a spotlessly clean, very well appointed and comfortable villa. The bedrooms are large and each bedroom has it's own beautiful ensuite. The pool terrace is fabulous - it is huge . There is plenty outside furniture for relaxing and sunbathing. There is some traffic noise but we did not find it intrusive and it wasn't audible inside the villa . We all agreed we would be happy to return to the villa .
