You deserve the comfort, warmth & style of this clean family house.

A clean well-presented house which is quick to warm with heat pump and double glazing in a convenient location 5 minutes' walk from the township amenities. The Town and country club is 100m down the street where non -members will be welcomed to enjoy the restaurant and bar and locals chat ! The house offers lovely views of the bush clad mountains with a beautiful private and fully fenced garden which is safe for kids and a pet. Watch the tuis and bell birds swoop into the feeder in this quiet location. The kitchen and lounge are well proportioned with a gas and electric stove. Electric heat pump heats the whole house so quickly which is essential when returning from a day trip. Free Sky tv and fibre wifi are real bonuses. The comfortable beds are constantly reviewed as a positive of peoples stays. The second bedroom can be made up as a king bed or on request 2 singles offering family flexibility. A separate toilet from the bathroom with a bath and strong jetted gas shower are close to bedrooms. There are puzzles and games for the family to enjoy plus a BBQ .
Te Anau is waiting to show off to you the un-spoilt splendor of Fiordland. Here is the wow factor previously reserved for Queenstown!
Enjoy the seclusion of the varied recreational activities on the lake, stunning views golf course, walking the Great walks with the Kepler starting here with easy drives to the Routeburn and Milford tracks or fishing for trout in the pristine fresh surrounding waters. Day walks on part of these tracks an option along with so many 1 or 2 hour return walks such as Lake Marian or longer walks like Holyford track.
For the thrill seekers a jet boat ride into the stunning landscapes of the lord of the ring's country.
Every visit must include a trip to the glow worm caves, a pleasure cruise on the historic Faith to the hidden lake in the Centre of Lake Te Anau or a walk into Ivan Wilson Park.
This park is only a 20 minute walk from the house along the lake front, through the native bird sanctuary to a magical woodland with mirror lake qualities and view up to the mountains. The Disc golf course in the park is also proving popular.
last but not least enjoy the magnificence and splendor of the trips to the magnificent Milford and Doubtful sounds.

House did the job. One of our beds was fine one was not so comfortable and the bedrooms were cold. There are a lot of cleaning rules upon check out and they asked for money if you use the dryer when the listing says no hidden fees. They were also waiting outside in a car to leave when we checked out. House is very dated, no netflix capability and the peper in the kitchen expired in 2022. Good if you are looking for no frills. Location is great and felt very private.

The 2 br unit served our needs well and was a comfortable place to stay for two nights. The back patio and access from each room was nice. It was not near any lake views but the town of Te Anu is small so everything is close. Only 2 questions came up: the loxkbox code in one email was different from another so it took us a minute to figure that out, and the complicated WiFi password was not typed correctly. We discovered various notes around the house with the proper pw on it so it seems this may also have been an issue in the past.

Walking distance to town

The house is a 10 minute walk to town so that was excellent. The three bedroom place is big, must be nice for a family. The colors, furniture, lighting are what might have been considered "modern" in the 1970-s, 80's but for me the colors, furniture, art, lighting were hard to take. On cold days we could heat the kitchen/dining/living room but not the bedrooms or hallway. Noticeable when it got cold but do-able in February. I do wonder how they manage in winter. Maybe there's heat that we just didn't find. But overall it worked. And Te Anu is such an important place to visit in terms of Milford Sound and other beauty in the area.
