The rooms themselves were clearly recently renovated and nice. The same can't be said for the bathrooms, which were outdated and not the cleanest. We stayed for two nights - the first night the bathroom flooded, so we changed rooms, only to find bugs coming out of the drain in the second bathroom. To their credit, they let us change room without hassle, and the check-in and check-out experience was smooth.

The staff was great. The room looked clean but the bathroom toilet had to be flushed multiple times to go down . The bathtub/ shower was old and moldy. The mattress was also super hard like sleeping on the floor. It was a great location close to Big Bend NP but I would not stay here again.

Wonderful staff both at check-in and checkout. Our room was gorgeous and had all we needed for our 2 night stay. It was located across the road from the main building. Comfy bed, quiet. We did think we were getting a queen bed. It wasn't. This didn't deter us from sleeping. Loved the decor. Fridge included. Side note. I liked the vanity sink!! Restaurant close by. General store well stocked.

The staff was amazing! The girl at the desk was so friendly and helpful! The room itself looks like it’s been somewhat recently remodeled. Super cute. I had no stopper for my tub and there was a moth in the room when I got there. Interior shower curtain could have been replaced and the sink drain did not drain well at all. Water heater was not consistent and outside of property at the lodge across the street looked a little run down. The bed was very firm-more than I’m used to. Overall cleanliness was not bad but it’s not a five star experience.
