Stay inside a real 40-foot section of a retired Boeing 727 — cockpit instruments intact — built into a modern two-story home on 80 private acres, about 15 minutes from Big Bend National Park.
This is a one-of-a-kind home for aviation fans, groups, and anyone who wants a stay they will actually remember.
The house has three traditional bedrooms upstairs, a bedroom on the main deck of the aircraft, and a twin hideaway mattress in the cargo hold. Watch a movie onboard in real airplane passenger seats, or lounge in the upstairs living room if economy class is not your idea of comfort. Want time in the flight deck? Take a pilot’s seat and watch the panels light up.

Mountain-biking and hiking trails on the property
This home is private and sits off a dirt road. Most vehicles can reach the house in dry weather. After heavy rain, a 4x4 is strongly recommended. Large desert storms are uncommon, but check the 10-day forecast before you come. Hosts will work with you around major rain. Road improvements are planned to add gravel on the lowest, softest stretch to make wet-weather access easier.
The road continues past the house into a network of ranch roads that are good for hiking and biking. Please stay on the road. Land along the roads is private property.
The house is on city electric, but the water supply is hauled water pumped into tanks. All members of your party must conserve water during your stay. Short showers are the best way to conserve.
ROAD CONDITIONS
The road to Infinite Skies Retreat is maintained regularly, but it may become impassable during and shortly after rainfall. Except in an emergency, do not attempt to drive on Gate 9 Road in wet conditions. Watch the weather forecast. A 4WD or AWD vehicle is highly recommended. Obey the posted 25 mph speed limit and use extra caution at night.
CHECK-IN
Check-in is between 4:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.
Cell service is spotty and often unavailable on site. We recommend enabling Wi-Fi calling before you arrive.
THE PROPERTY
Stay in designated guest areas and do not disturb the desert.
Do not approach the cliff edge. There are cracks in the limestone shelf and loose rock. Admire the view from the deck.
This is a cliffside property with metal stairs and concrete floors. Please watch children closely.
FIRES
A fire chiminea is available for your use. There are often local burn bans. Check public notices on Brewster County’s website. The provided fire pit is generally compliant during basic burn bans, but drier conditions may bring stricter bans. No other fires are permitted.
Charcoal grills are not permitted.
No fireworks.
Pets are not allowed at Infinite Skies Retreat.
ACCESSIBILITY
This home has two flights of stairs (34 stairs total) and no bedrooms on the lower level.
NO DIRT BIKES OR ATVS
Surrounding roads are private. Neighbors report these disturbances and call the police. No dirt bikes or ATVs.

No confetti. There is a $100 charge for cleanup.
NOISES
The house is constructed almost entirely of metal. The steel frame is stable in heavy desert winds, but it can expand and contract as the day heats and the night cools. You may hear slight creaking or knocking from the outer frame and upper floor. This is normal.
The water pump below the aircraft fuselage will run when it needs to supply water. It usually lasts a few seconds, but it may startle you if you are standing near it. If you hear it running non-stop let us know this is a bigger issue and could burnt he pump up.
WATER PRESSURE
This home may appear to have low water pressure when you first turn on a faucet. That is normal. Water tanks and a pump feed the house. When you first turn on a faucet, flush a toilet, or run water, flow may be limited for 20–30 seconds until the pump kicks in. Pressure will then increase quickly.
Toilets may gurgle after being flushed because of air pockets in the line as the pump starts.
*If a toilet keeps running or the tank won’t stop filling, turn the water off at the toilet if you can and message us immediately. A stuck flapper or flange can empty the whole water supply.*
TRAILS
Stay on marked trails only. A trail map is included in your Guest Welcome Packet. Trail use is at your own risk and is limited to hiking only, except for vehicle roads such as Gate 9 Road. Trails have loose rocks and steep drop-offs and are not advisable for young children. You must be a guest of Infinite Skies Retreat to use the hiking trails.
HUNTING / GATHERING
Hunting is prohibited. Do not collect any live animal. Do not dig up or collect plants, including cacti.
FIREARMS
No discharge of firearms on the property.
DRONES
No drones unless the owner gives permission and a flight path is logged.
SECURITY
There are two outdoor cameras for safety: one looking up the driveway and one overlooking the parking area. They are not monitored live. Footage is available for a limited time in case of an incident.
ALCOHOL / DRUGS
Smoking or drug use of any kind is prohibited indoors and outdoors. Alcohol should be consumed in moderation and only by guests of legal age. Do not use trails or roads during or shortly after drinking.
DAMAGE / THEFT
Guests are responsible for any damage to the house or recreational amenities, including trails. Leave the house whole for the next guests. Theft will be treated in accordance with the law.
