    The Wee Nook, just 3 miles from Carver Landing!

    The Wee Nook is a cottage tucked away in a peaceful, lovely location near the national park. Use it as a base for hiking nearby trails, or floating the Buffalo River (just 3 miles from Carver Landing). There are six Highland cows that roam the pastures surrounding the home, along with plenty of wildlife on the property. There's a wet-weather creek that flows from approximately December to April (depending on rain fall). Come relax in the gorgeous Ozarks!

    ***I will send you a map pin, as the address isn't recognized by map apps*** Also please note the home is down a mile long gravel driveway, with a steep hill. I've had no trouble in my 2wd SUV, but I don't recommend motorcycles!!

    There be cows in them hills!

    Fantastic retreat in the secluded mountains, with all the amenities you could need! My wife and I stayed here after a kayak trip on the Buffalo River. This was a nice respite before our 4 hour drive back home. We loved visiting with the highland cows. There's no manure smell at the Wee Nook, just fresh mountain air. Steep(ish) inside stairs but a well placed nightlight helps you get down them at night. WIFI worked great and while minor, I loved that there were specific streaming accounts (Netflix, Hulu, and Prime) for the cabin. No having to wade through 7 different profiles hoping that you aren't messing up the owners' watch history, language preferences, etc.. Great contact with the hosts. We would definitely stay again!

    Peaceful and yet soooo pampered!

    If you want a peaceful, relaxing experience on top of being spoiled by all the best amenities; This is your place! From the FULLY furnished kitchen, most comfortable furniture and king bed, washer and dryer, and even the Treager pellet grill—you’re sure to enjoy!! The Wee Nook was so beautifully decorated and above and beyond all our expectations! We came to kayak the Buffalo River, but we enjoyed our stay just as much if not more! The Highland cows roaming around are just so beautiful also! We will be back!!!!

    Loved staying here!

    The house was so cute and decorated beautifully. Very comfortable couch and bed! Communicating with property manager was very easy. And the fuzzy cows!!!!! such an added bonus to our stay! We got to feed and pet them! As long as you use google maps, the place was easy to find. It does have a steep driveway so make sure your vehicle can handle that. My only draw back to the house was the stairs to the bedroom are a little steep but not too terrible. I would definitely stay here again!

    Quaint, Quiet Getaway

    We had a wonderful stay at this quaint and quiet VRBO nestled in a peaceful valley in the Ozarks. The one-bedroom rental was the perfect cozy retreat, featuring a spacious king-size bed and a comfortable living area ideal for relaxing.The kitchen was surprisingly efficient and thoughtfully stocked with all the cooking utensils and dishes we needed. One of the most charming touches was the nearby pasture where adorable Highland cows grazed — a serene and delightful view that made our morning coffee on the porch extra special. This rental is a hidden gem for anyone seeking rest, relaxation, and a touch of rustic charm.

    Great place and very private.

    This was a nice place to stay as we spent a couple of days on the Buffalo River. Very clean, quiet and well stocked. The snacks were also a plus!!

    Great little hollar hideaway!

    Loved this spot and the space! The views, cows and horses were such a wonderful addition. We made a great fire and looked at the stars, used the Trager and had a wonderful time. Thank you so much!

    Romantic Weekend

    I booked this cabin for a romantic Valentines weekend getaway and was not disappointed! The host was very responsive and even helped me out by putting a dozen roses on the table for my partner. The place was clean and we had no issues finding it. Fair warning, the steps going upstairs are a little steep and the bathroom is located downstairs, but overall the cabin is cute and cozy. The Highland cows were a great added bonus!

    A fantastic place to stay

    Wife and I made an overnight trip out to The Wee Nook. The place is on the back corner of the property and is very quiet. The property is really nice and has two levels. The kitchen, den and bath / laundry room is on the 1st floor with the bedroom on the 2nd. This is a terrific weekend getaway location.

    Quiet and Cozy

    We had a wonderful few days away, and it was perfect. The cows were friendly and came up for some ear scratches. The Wee Nook was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The whole valley was quiet and relaxing. This was our second visit and I'm sure we'll be back again. I even messaged ahead of time to see if there was a French press coffee maker (so I could pack mine if needed), but Ashley went and put a brand new one in the cabin for us. It was perfection!

    Just WOW!

    This place was perfect for my boyfriend and I who did an overnight float on the Buffalo River. We are from 5 hours away and just needed a place to stay for the night before and after. The Wee Nook was exactly what was needed and the bed was so comfy!

    We absolutely loved our stay here! The house was clean and perfectly tucked away in the woods. Stairs are a little steep, but they prepared us for the Cosmic Cave adventure. Feeding the cows was the best way to start each morning! Wonderful recommendations and driveway navigation included in the welcome packet. We will be recommending this place to everyone!

    Cozy valley. Pleasantly secluded feel. Cute, curious cows, very friendly dog. Good internet. No phone signal depending on carrier. Pay attention to the warnings about the steep gravel drive. Steep stairs. Awesome shower. A great place to stay!

    Relaxing

    House was very clean and had everything you would need. Did not realize the house was in the front yard of another property, felt a little weird driving through grass. Would put up a blind on the staircase window for privacy. Shower was phenomenal and loved playing with the cows. The hammock and firepit were so nice. Love you provide chairs and a grill although we didn't use it. Loved the king bed, super comfy! Would definitely stay here again.
