It was a pleasant stay at Radisson except for the fact that there is no heating facility even in a suite. We were given a room heater and electric blanket which is still not adequate for Kufri winters. But overall the hotel is clean and quiet with slightly expensive dining menu.
This is a wonderful hotel. The views are spectacular! The rooms very clean and comfortable and the staff is fantastic, especially the front desk clerk Akshay. All of the staff went above and beyond but Akshay really worked hard to ensure my stay was as pleasant as it could be.
I do not think that I have ever been given more attention by a hotel staff.
The food was very good. The hotel was totally empty during the time I was there and as a result of that and the season, some of the food items were not available. The in room dining menu was a bit confusing as some items were listed multiple times and some pages seemed be be duplicated. The food was always very good but expensive, especially considering the portion size but it was really the only option for the area, especially for a westerner.
I booked the reservation through Expedia for 7 nights with the 'pay at hotel' option. Sadly I got a bad case of altitude sickness and at the advice of my doctor, I had to check out after 3 nights. The hotel refused to give any refund saying that Expidia took commission,
In spealing with Expedia, they said because I paid at the hotel all they could do is talk to the hotel and request a refund on my behalf. They called the hotel and the hotel offered nothing.
It would have been appropriate for the hotel to keep the costs of one of the four nights remaining on my reservation but they made no effort and did noting but refused to refund anything.
The stay was great other then this
